How to Remove Dingy Whites Stains

White clothes are always brilliant at first, but can dull over time into a dingy white or grey.

Put a stop to that, and bring back your divine whites using a few tips from Tide that will help you say goodbye to dull and dingy.

Step 1

Prepare a Soaking Solution

Using a bucket, a sink or a bowl, create a soaking solution using Tide Plus Bleach Alternative Liquid Detergent. Fill the cap to line 1 for each gallon of warm water.

Step 2

Soak

Soak the garment for up to 5 minutes, weighting it down with a white towel to keep it totally submerged.

Dose

Use the cap to ensure you use the right amount of Tide Plus Bleach Alternative Liquid Detergent, and pour it into the detergent dispenser if you have an HE machine, or directly into the drum before loading the clothes if you have a non-HE machine.

Step 4

Wash

Wash on the usual cycle, on the hottest wash temperature indicated. Always check the instructions on the garment’s care label.

Step 5

Unload

When the cycle is complete, unload the garments immediately.

If the stain persists after washing, repeat the previous steps before tossing in the dryer, as drying will set the stain.
