Refreshing Breeze smells like poison
Refreshing Breeze smells so strong and to me it smells like poison. My clothes have such a strong odour from it and I can barely breathe this in without feeling sick. I feel like this scent is poisoning me. What happened to the good old original Tide scent? Why make this toxic scent? It’s disgusting, and I will never buy it again.

Color change
I like this detergent and have been using it for a while now, however this is the 3rd time getting it and it being a cloudy green color . Don’t go to home depot to get it that’s where I continue to have problems. I have two new bottles I just got and now I don’t want to use it.

Green / Brown smelly
I bought this at Home depot because it was a good price from a name brand company. It was a wierd color. The clothes didnt come out very well. I stopped using it. Its very disturbing. My wife now doesnt want me bringing home detergent from a hardware store. Might be worth testing a sample to see whats caused this to change to brown/green.

Brown Sledge-Like Liquid, WHAT?!
we purchased three bottles at the same time of the same detergent. The first one was fine. The second one went opened. It was brown, sludgy looking at first I thought it was motor oil the brown had slightly separated from some kind of oily base… what the heck and all my 60 years I’ve never seen such a thing occur. I was afraid that someone had filled it with a different liquid outside of the plant but no I’m hearing that this is happening from other people too! Can you please explain?

This product sucks!
This detergent is horrible! It's no better than extra and double the price! It didn't remove any stains even pretreated ones the detergent is thin and takes twice the amount to half way clean clothes. Clothes do not smell fresh and clean. I tried this once but never again I will stick to using Persil its never done me wrong. There are absolutely no pros to this product

Leaves white marks on black clothes
This product leaves white marks on black clothes. It's awful. I had to spend a lot of time scrubbing the detergent marks off my clothes. Save your money!

weird liquid
i purchased a bottle of this (it was my favorite) until today i open the bottle to use it and the soap is a nasty brown/green color and smells TERRIBLE! i tried to call the company and got told i wasn’t calling during business hours. i put the bottle where my other bottles are! this is definitely a bad batch!!

Turned disgusting brown
This is not the first review stating the detergent turned brown, so you have a quality issue. It was quite disgusting and had a smell of it being bad mixed in with the breeze smell. I have dumped a smaller bottle before and just dumped more than half of a big jug. Literally money down the drain.

I like the scent
I've read a few reviews complaining they didn't like the scent of refreshing breeze. Did they not smell it before buying? I really like this scent and like the fact that it stays on the clothes even after the full wash and dry is done. People will complain about anything just to try and get something free. Funky smell
The Tide simply clean all in one refreshing breeze is awful, my clothes smell funky during washing and after, I have to rinse twice eventhough I use the correct amount. I'm never trusting Tide again. I read reviews and many people were complaining about this issue and I was puzzled and decided to try it. I I regret my purchase and I don't recommend this product.

Allergic to this scent
This detergent smells awful. I washed my sheets in it and couldn’t breath all night. I don’t know if it’s an allergic reaction or what since I’ve never had this issue with other tide products. If you are sensitive to scents then stay clear, smells like my grandmother spilled her perfume in my bed. Really over powering and awful.

We love it!
My mother in law bought recommended Tide Simply Clean and Fresh. We both prefer the refreshing breeze scent for our towels and bedding. The scent lasts for a good while. Also, it cleans very well. I'm just in love.

The stench!
I recently bought a small bottle of Tide Simply Refreshing Breeze because I needed an enzyme free detergent to clean wool blankets. It cleans ok but the smell is nauseating, almost like gasoline. The stench fades after the cloth dries but I would not buy this again. The Daybreak Fresh version smells better but small bottles of it are very hard to find. Tide must deliberately make Refreshing Breeze so repulsive in order to force consumers to buy huge bottles of Daybreak Fresh.

Changed Formula
I have faithfully continued to purchase Simply Tide since its debut several years back. I recently purchased my usual large family size of Simply Fresh Breeze. Not only am I paying $6.00 more, for less detergent, the formula has changed. The formula use to be thick, now it is watered down and less detergent. I am certainly not pleased, with this noticeable change.

Worst Laundry Soap I ever Used
Every time I wash dark colors, especially black, it leaves soap residue all over. Tried using less soap, more water, everything, it doesn't seem to matter. My dark clothes are never "clean" after using this product. Thought I would try a name brand, will go back to off brands, better price and certainly cleaner clothes. I don't really know about the smell as I have sinus issues that impact my sense of smell

Price is better than regular Tide but if it doesn’t clean as well, so not worth lower cost. And there is no use info on the bottle I got from Dollar General. I had to look up how much to use. Also, doesn’t say if OK for HE washers.

I'm sorry but the Tide Simply Clean and Fresh (Refreshing Breeze) in its original formula was Great, but now that you've brought about the 2 and 1 formula, it is nasty. It doesn't clean any better and the smell is too overbearing. Please go back to the original formula, or at the very least, market both formulas giving us a real choice. Updated scent is absolutely horrible
I have been using this detergent for years and it has always been fine. Lightly scented and an decent scent. But I just bought a new bottle and the scent has changed. It is absolutely horrible. Not only is the scent awful, but the smell is so overpowering that I need to rewash all my bedding. I am not sure what to do with an almost full bottle, but I can't use it.

AWFUL SCENT
The "Daybreak Fresh" scent is terrible! It is so strong that it triggered a migraine-also made me sneeze like crazy until 4 AM. Had to rewash all of my clothes and sheets. I'm going to try a different brand an ensure it's unscented. Who needs the additional chemicals for a wretched scent.

Best detergent in the price range
I usually use original Tide or Persil but they are also expensive. I bought the simply clean (green label) and the price was significantly cheaper. I had a couple grease stains on my hoodie I pretreated and washed and was suprised how well this cleaned. The oil stains were gone. For around the same price as Xtra (you get a bit more Xtra), sun (more sun too) in regards to # of loads you can do, it completely blows them out of the water. Compared to regular tide my guess is it wont remove all stains but should tackle most. Again for the price range it is a very solid product and high tier in that range

Why must Tide keep changing their formulas?!
I use to love the Refreshing Breeze scent when it was serial number 91273169. Now again, they’ve tampered with the scent like they did with Tide Original scent. Why must you all keep changing the scents that we are accustomed to and have smelled for years?!! I hope that you will bring back the real Tide Original Scent before it was changed, also the original Refreshing Breeze scent from serial #91273169. If it’s not broke, don’t fix it!!!

I love original tide
I love original tide and when I bought this one I never went back. I like the fresh scent and it gets out the odors and makes your clothes clean and fresh. It actually very affordable compared to regular tide. I would definitely recommend it to others.

Scent changed to awful smell!!!

New smell is horrible - unusable
I've been a loyal Tide customer for years because it does the job, but this new scent is unbearable. It gives me headaches. I'll be looking for a different detergent. Returning the new container back to the store. Compared to older bottles in my laundry room there is definitely a change and it's not for the better. Very disappointing.

Good, but questions…
I was loving this detergent when I discovered it in 2020, but this last jug I bought in June 2021 has a very different scent — would very much like to know if Tide altered the scent? It is stronger, more perfumey, less “clean” now… Also, I’ve noticed the washing machine does not have very much sudsing with this detergent — would very like to know if this is normal with this formula? Scent changed, or a fluke?
Love this product; have used it for a long time. Cleans husband's very dirty (construction and concrete) clothes and Refreshing Breeze smells great. Or it used to! Recently bought a bottle and the smell has changed. Makes me nauseous. The scent before was the best ever. But this new one...I will definitely find something else. Some scents don't sit well with me and this is one of them. I still have an older bottle of the product and compared them to see if it was my imagination. It is not. Why is it changed? BTW, I don't like the 'green' label scent, daybreak. But the 'blue' was wonderful.

Allergic reaction / hives
I really enjoyed the smell of this detergent at first, but I soon broke out in a rash/hives that was later to be determined to be this detergent. I do not have a history of allergies to detergents/scents so it took a trip to the ER to figure out. There are many others saying the same thing for this product in Amazon reviews. Tide- I think y’all may need to take a closer look at this formula and how it reacts to human skin after multiple contacts.

Best laundry detergent I have ever purchased
I have tried various Tide detergents and different brands but they don't remove the Antiperspirant/body oder smell. This product really works and my clothes don't have a strong laundry detergant smell. People must read the dosage instructions and it really works and is also cost effective. I do not normally write reviews but this product deserves it as I bought it due to the fact that it was the only one available at the store and was worried after seeing the bad reviews but that was misleading so I thought I should do my part to rectify it. Thank you Tide for an awesome product and please do not discontinue or change it.

Allergic reaction
I love tide and have been using them for years but this product left my entire body covered in a very itchy rash I found it to be odd that I caught an allergic reaction to this one considering I’ve never had an allergy or an allergic reaction in my life and I’m 31 and also the fact that it’s “simply clean and free”

Horrible Smell
I thought the strong perfume type smell was because I was smelling it from the bottle. But my clothes came out smelling like cheap perfume that has gone bad. There is absolutely nothing clean or fresh about this scent. Please stop selling this or label it “grandmother’s old Avon scent”

Doesn't get rid of odor!
I washed my daughter's laundry twice (and even added borax booster) but the armpits still smelled like bo. The second time it smelled like cheap cologne on top of bo! Ewww. I can only assume it is not getting the clothes clean. Will donate/throw this detergent away.

The scent is unacceptable
I bought the product because I thought it was same Tide with new color scheme. No real warning it was something new and cheaper. I have to throw it away, reorder from the grocery store and REWASH an entire load because the scent was so strong it permeated the fabric of my clothes. I will stick with Tide and get the original which I would have if I had paid more attention.

watered down garbage
This product is cheap watered down garbage. Not sure how people are giving it a good rating. I don't know what you would use this garbage to wash? Maybe unused bedding from a spare bedroom? Maybe? But never on any clothing that has been worn. I've used Tide for most of my life and thought I would give it a try with what appeared to be similar to a sales price. Absolutely awful at removing stains and the clothes do not feel clean. First time ever returning a detergent to the store, but wanted to make sure P&G understands this is garbage.

Smell is awful
The smell is terrible. I can't put my finger on what exactly it is but it's awful. Why doesn't it tell you what the ingredients are on the jug of detergent? Hmmmm…

Suds too much
I buy Tide HE for tough loads, and a value brand for less dirty loads. This product just suds too much in the machine and causes it to run forever. It also does not rinse cleanly.

This product is the best out there !
I really love the tide pods, they are so easy to use and don't make a mess if you drop them verses dropping the liquid itself. I definitely try to tide pods when money is good.

The smell "stinks"
The smell is a cross between lemon jello and moth balls. AND IT NEVER LEAVES! I use my Downy...but I can't smell it because this smell overpowers it.

The smell NEVER leaves
This stuff is awful, I don't care how well it cleans, the overpowering smell is enough to make you gag, and NEVER goes away. Can't get the smell off my hands, out of my clothes, even with re-washing.

Suds suds and more suds!
I used the cup and measured to the lowest mark. I cut back on subsequent loads but my clothes still come out with a soapy residue. NOT compatible with front loaders. I had to scoop out all the suds!

Ridiculous Amount of Suds
This Tide filled machine with suds.Figured I used too much, but used very little and had same issue. I cleaned my machine 8times now, and still every time a ton of suds come out.

Stained my clothes

Too many suds!

IT STINKS LOUDLY!!

Hands down my favorite!

Smells Horrible
I usually can only buy Tide on sale because of the price. When I saw this i figured it was a new product at an introductory price. I bought it figuring it was tide must be good product I'm just getting a deal at this price....OMG WAS I WRONG!!!...after about 4 loads of clothes the things I washed in it starting getting into circulation again....wore something just kept smelling this stale rancid smell. Figured man did this get washed or not? Took it off changed again same bad smell. Kids started also complaining of smell. Had to pull all the clothes and re-wash in another detergent. $9.99 wasted. store wont take it back because it was opened. After a bit of complaining. The Lady at counter said real reason is to many bottles were coming back they couldn't afford to refund everyone that complained. Tide claims they tried to make a cheaper product...they succeeded...This stuff is trash! tide should be embarrassed.

Listening to Cursory Reviews is Foolish
I bought this Tide because I found it on a deal site but was unaware this was an economy version of Tide. Then when I bought my third large bottle I realized the entire shelf was full and that no one else was buying this. My deal sense(6th?) then kicked in and I thought there might be something wrong with this version of Tide so I bought 1 bottle instead of 2(maybe stocking up is unnecessary because the price will always be low) and decided to go home and research(sometimes purchases often made before the rise of internet purchasing(2005ish) I forget to research first). So I came here and read all the reviews and comments. The positive reviews often can be negated(but useful in this case most think the smell isnt bad) but seemed to outweigh the negative(which often over accumulate due to revenge product attack dissatisfaction) that focused on the fact that this detergent smells like cheap men's deodorant(not cologne,... deodorant) and I got that note from smelling directly from the bottle but there is allot of floral top note on top it that you also get straight from the bottle. I then worried about washing but was recently forced to wash a week ago and decided might as well try the new soap. Upon removing the first load from the dryer the smell was stronger and did have the same bottle smell but I now realize later that it is heavier in bottom note. At the time it just smelled like a heavier bottle smell but not bad it does have that mans deodorant near the bottom but it has allot of floral on top of it and I don't think it smells bad(I'm a very discerning shopper and only buy the best of everything but I am also a man so stronger perfume I would find beneficial, this product is probably market targeted for someone exactly like me). Tho after using my towel for a few days I then realized as the top notes fell off(they seem to stay on unused clothes at least a week so far) to reveal the true nature of the bottom note which is not at all men's deodorant but what I have identified as PATCHOULI. So I believe the misunderstanding is that either men's deodorant(most of the negatives pointing men's deodorant were women one driven by the fact maybe her husband didnt like her smelling like young men's deodorant) is a mix of floral and patchouli or the mixed smells in this Tide make a similar scent. The base note isn't bad and original top note while not as good as the base note by itself isn't bad and really I think by the time I go to wash that my clothes stink anyway so maybe detergent should have more perfume..... Also great for workout/yard or around the house high use clothes. I'm sure cologne would easily overpower the washed clothes and throughout the day it dissipates. After reading many reviews online I find the scathing reviews even if overall positive of the product are the most useful.

Fragance!
When I first smelled my clothes after coming out of they dryer. It was like fresh air. While wearing my blouse, I could still smell that wonderful fragrance! I passed it along to several friends and family. My sister who only buys Tide didn't know about the new one until I bought it home. She went back to Walmart to buy her one and get me another. New Idea
Many years ago my mother used tide, then I did. Due to its rising price I stopped. Due to many variations of product I became more costly and confusing. Now with this new product I am pleased, but is it just making my clothes smell clean or is it actually cleaning. Results still being tested.

I love tide but of course the original is a bit pricey. I normally stick to buying the cheaper brands as I feel they do a great job cleaning my clothes I mean I don't work in construction or anything like that and even with a 4 yr old our stains aren't major. But I saw Tide Simply Fresh and Clean on sale at my local market and I actually did think it was a pricing error but I decided to snatch it up and try it out. I am so happy I did. My clothes came out very clean and I think they smell even better. I love the smell of freshly washed clothing I rather that over perfume or any body spray. You can't beat the price either I just snagged another bottle on sale at cvs. I will be purchasing the 89 load bottle soon it will definitely last long in my house hold which is easier on the pockets.

Yuck!
Sooo disappointed ! I am usually a die hard Purex user. Love the quality for the price. BUT this week the 138 oz bottle of Tide Clean and fresh was on sale for $6.99. I was excited to try it. Tide that was actually affordable. IT IS AWFUL!! It smells awful, and the smell lingers. Our clothes looked like I'd washed them in a dollar store brand. AWFUL. What's worse is now I have this big bottle of the stuff to use up. Might just bite the bullet and get rid of it and by myself some Purex.

Love it
I have always used Tide Original. My husband has developed skin allergies and it was suggested we switch to a detergent that did not have all the dyes, perfumes and other additives. I have not been able to find Tide Free & Clear except in the industrial size bottle in our hometown, but Tide Simply Clean was available, so I tried it. So far it seems to have worked well as far as hubby's allergies are concerned, and it has a really nice scent as well. If you don't like the scent, don't buy it; same as if you don't like the scent of a candle, you wouldn't buy it.

Best quality for the price
I have always loved the results of Tide but the price was always so high. I have a large family and cost as well as the ability to clean well is always my first priority. I can't say that any have really impressed me until now. I tried the Tide simply clean & fresh and was so happy with the cleaning results for this price. The smell really is so fresh and stains just disappeared. In W.V. coal dust is a real problem but this product just washes it all away.That is why I had to write and tell you. Thank you. Should Not Be Called Tide
When I first saw this new product called Tide Simply Clean and Fresh at 1/2 the price of regular Tide, I thought this would be really good. I WAS WRONG!!! After a few weeks of using it, I started noticing the clothes were getting very dingy looking. I thought how can they call this Tide, our clothes look terrible. I'm glad I only bought a small bottle to try. I'm switching to Gain, they haven't tried cutting their quality and using their good name like it's the same product.

Ahhh, Simply Clean & Fresh
Really like your new Tide "Simply Clean & Fresh"! Some of the reviews state the fragrance is too strong. It is my opinion it may have quite the impact smelling it directly from the bottle but after it's gone through the wash & rinse cycle and then the dryer...what remains is very nice and not strong at all. I am also well pleased with the cleaning results. We own and run a 70 acre cattle farm. You can imagine how dirty (and oft times smelly) our clothes can get. The new Tide does a very good job of taking care of the dirt and smell. If I have a tough stain I spray it with a stain remover or use a detergent booster. Love it, love it!

Feeling Duped
I always purchase Tide products, always have. While doing my shopping, I came across Tide Simply Clean & Fresh. We are on a pretty strict budget so being this was half of the price I normally spend, I went with this product. It claims 2x the power, so thought I would be safe. After all, it is a Tide product. I couldn't be more wrong. I used the amount for a medium load, as I just wanted to test the product first. We have front loaders, and this soap created so many suds, I had to spend even more time cleaning the washer. I am not at all pleased. I thought maybe I had put too much in, so I did a 2nd load. Still way beyond the amount of suds there should be. Product states that you can use it with "he" machines. I would beg to differ. I will definitely not be using this product anymore. It did not do the job of cleaning the clothes as well as it should have either. Guess "2x power" is right, I had to wash 2x in order to get the cleaning power. Awful. Twice the work at half the price, not to mention having to clean out my washer. Horrible. Totally unsatisfied. Please read reviews before purchasing so you don't end up with an almost full bottle that gets thrown in the trash. I live too far from the store purchased to make it worth my time to go back & return it. I would spend more than what the product costs in gas to get there & back. My experience was a loss. Two thumbs down.

Surprised
When I first saw the 138 oz jug at a store I do not usually shop at, I thought the store had mispriced it! I usually don't buy Tide because of the price. I bought TWO that day just in case the price was wrong! LOVE it and have requested that my local store start ordering the large container!! Thanks TIDE!!!

Pleasantly surprised
I usually buy Tide when I can afford it. The SImply Clean & Fresh was within my "soaps" budget and I have to say I am pleasantly surprised by the scent and the cleaning power of this product. From delicates to denim and all the office clothing required...everything came out of the wash looking impressively clean. I hope this not a test product that will disappear from the grocery store shelves.

Great detergent for the price!
Thanks for making a good quality and budget friendly detergent. As a consumer, I feel the price of laundry detergent has gotten out of control. This detergent is perfect for my husband and I. We don't really have many stains to treat so we don't need a lot of "stain fighting" gimmicks. I found this detergent to clean better than other bargain or store brand detergents. It does not fade my clothing. The detergent is a bit smelly. I wish this line came in a fragrance free.

Good, BUT not Regular Tide
I tried this Tide due to it's low price at Walmart. I love the scent. However, I had to wash my clothes twice to get them clean. I only use Tide and would never use another brand. However, I have to stick with April Fresh Tide.

Had to try
As a father, I always try to take care of our family the best I can and that is one of the reasons I have always used Tide. I was attracted to the Simply Clean & Fresh branding because of the economically friendly pricing. I just don't feel that I am getting the same cleaning that I do from my regular Tide. Maybe I should have known better, the largest size was priced at 1/2 of what I usually pay....Selah.....I will go back to my standard Tide.....Thanks for trying though, just step up the cleaning power.....

Not what I expected
After using regular Tide religiously for years, I thought I would finally try Tide Simply Clean and Fresh. Well I believe they got part of the name right. I am having a terrible time getting my clothes clean. Most of the time I have to wash things twice to get it to be the same as one regular load of Tide. Its not worth the effort and will not be using the rest of it. The pricing was good, but factor in the extra time and expense and its not worth it in the long run

Smells good, DOES NOT CLEAN
I've always associated the Tide brand with the best in laundry detergent and the very best at removing stains from clothing. Unfortunately this product does not live up to the Tide reputation. Honestly I'm surprised that Tide would put their name on this product. It smells nice but does not remove stains (even minor ones). Upon further inspection I noticed that it does not contain any enzymes which all "good" detergents contain because I believe they give detergent stain-removing power. I won't buy this product again. I'm going back to Wisk.

An awesome buy
I came across the tide simply clean and fresh while shopping and seeing i wasnt happy with what detergent i was using i figured id try it considering it was tide which is what my mom always used i bought it and loved it way to go tide im able to use a lot less then what i did before and for a mom of 6 that ends up saving money in the end although i do find it suds up alot in my he machine i just cut back on the ammout used and problem solved thank you tide

Not a good choice
I picked up a small bottle of this just to try. I have a good HE front loader than I have never had issue with and only use Tide products with good results. With this product, just besides the unpleasant artificial scent, came a huge sudsing problem. While the bottle said that it was HE compatible and I did not use that much detergent, each time I used it, it created far too many suds. The last time I used it and pinpointed the issue, the entire drum was filled with suds and I did not use that much detergent. Spending my evening trying to clean my washer when I had a lot of laundry to do was not my idea of fun. While I will continue using Tide products, this specific product is extremely disappointing.

Awfully Perfumed
I wanted to try this product and bought 138 oz bottle. The minute I opened the bottle to pour it in Washing Machine I was struck with awful highly perfumed scent. I had to redo all the clothes of that load with regular tide. I would not recommend this product to anyone unless they don't mind its extreme scent.

Good Buy
I rarley use the regular tide. Too pricey. So, compared to others lower priced products this one is right up there. Great for outdoor work clothes. Cloths stay fresh during the work day, can't say that about other lower priced brands.

Love it! Fragrance that last!
Very happy with the product. Finally found a detergent that leaves clothes smelling great without extra scent boosters. Got refreshing breeze and just used downy April fresh softener and clothes smell great! I like a heavy scent that last... and after trying numerous combinations this works great. If your sensitive to fragrance this would be too strong for you, but that is what I like about it. The baking soda helps with my hard water too. Please keep offering this.

Bargain Yes,
Ok I am a guy who does his on laundry. I always use tide even when I travel abroad. Tide has always been dependable, strong, and an amazing fragrance. This new tide is ok. I was skeptical but I bought two bottles. It's just ok. Does not remind me of tide at all. I am a fan of tide with baking soda in the cream bottle. Tide should bring it back.

Not such a great buy
I feel that this product did not clean my clothes as well as the other Tide products. I noticed that some of the stains did not come off my clothes. My colors seemed to fade with this detergent. I have been using Tide for 14 years and this is the first time I was not happy with my purchase.

Will not use again!
First I want to say I only use Tide on my clothes. Hands down it is the best detergent out there, takes all stains out in the first wash. I am not happy that the price continues to go up but I try to use coupons and buy on sale. When I first saw the price on the Clean and Fresh I thought "Wow!" a tide that is at a great price. Well it is no where near a Tide product. It washed like a cheap store brand. I won't buy again but will stick with the original Tide!

"GOOD PRODUCT"
I like Tide, but I have used other Procter & Gamble products, like Gain, Era and Cheer. I saw this new Tide Simply Clean & Fresh Detergent while shopping in Walmart, so I decided to buy it. I purchased the small size just in case it did not work "WOW" it worked. I have since purchased two more bottles. This is some good detergent, I like both of the scents, they knock the musty smell right out of my husband work clothes. I will continue to buy it. Thanks P&G for making something that works and is affordable.

Highly Disappointed!!!
I am truly disappointed with the new tide " Refreshing Breeze". The smell alone was just to much. I was not able to due my laundry because of the smell. I have always been a tide customer and I was overjoyed to be saving a few bucks on my washing powder, but this one is not going to work for me. Please go back to the lab and work on the scent...

I absolutely love it!
I am a tide kind of girl. My mother has always used tide so that is what I've grown up on. In my household I was using Tide Sport version because I loved the smell and how well it handled my childrens clothes. Now with Simply Clean and Fresh I am in love. I love the scent and how clean my clothes come. The price is a plus, but that isn't a concern for me. I just love them!! Thank you so much for creating this amazing product.

i have to say at our local walmart tide simply clean was 3.97. WOW first off i have never seen tide that low. i was thinking well its by tide so it has to be good right ? well not only did dollar general have a sale going on for $2.95 i also had $3 off of any 2 tides. so i basically picked up 15 of these for $1.50 a bottle and i must say i would totally buy these again and again. i love them and they was already at a fair price but i couponed and got them for way cheaper. now i don't know if i would pay $4 dollars for them. but i would $1.50 hehe. love the product though.

The Smell is Awful
Most of the reviews here seem to focus on the price point. Tide is offering a bargain product with a premium brand name. Who doesn't want to save money. Believe the few reviews that complain about the awful smell. "Simply Clean & Fresh" smells like antiseptic -- menthol or a terrible, chemical pine smell, and it is strong and long lasting. I tried to use scented dryer sheets to get it out of my clothes. If you are tempted to save money by buying this, do yourself a favor - open it up and take a whiff before you purchase. If the overpowering industrial cleaner smell doesn't bother you, you will save money over other Tide products. I have never smelled a "refreshing breeze" like this one, and there are less noxious baking soda based laundry detergents out there.

tide simply clean and fresh
I will purchase it again for the price point. old tide doesn't perform any better. why do you still market it at twice the cost? until the new version became available I used anything but tide as they all produce the same results at half the cost. I guess there's something to be said about brand recognition but certainly not brand loyalty because at 20 bucks a bottle there's no value for the results.

OK.now.To all those folks that don't like the smell of this Tide.Please stop dating guys with a cheap cologne and travel.Preferably to Europe,where clean laundry and clean house smells just like this Tide.(I used Refreshing Breeze).It is so nice to find something for a change ,that just reminds you of clean airy house and clean sheets ,that you remember from your childhood. It Works For Me
I purchased out of curiosity. I am so glad that I did. It got all of our clothes clean and fresh. It removed those horrible foot odor in his socks of the athletes in the house and those with some incontinence issues. No other product has removed that odor like this one. The only issue is that I am having a hard time finding it in stores.

Finally a reasonably priced bottle of Tide !
I love this product and i can't understand all the bad comments about the scent ! I love the scent and wish you made dryer sheets with the same scent . I also wish it was easier to find , it is only sold at one of the big box grocery stores I shop at . To bad Target doesn't sell it ! Best of all it does a good job cleaning and at a much better price then regular Tide.

Simply AWESOME!
I get that scent is a very subjective and personal thing however, I don't get the negative reviews on the scent. I will admit, I specifically bought the "Refreshing Breeze," because when I smelled the other scent in the store, it wasn't my favorite - maybe that's the scent that everyone is complaining about. The "Refreshing Breeze," on the other hand is AWESOME! I love how clean and fresh my laundry smells! I can't say how the cleaning performance compares to the more expensive versions of Tide as I never really used those due to the expense and lack of lasting fresh scent. I can say that the cleaning power is comparable to the Gain I was previously buying and has the only scent (at the current price) capable of converting me to a Tide user! If the prices are ever comparable to original Tide, I'll switch back. I am curious to know if the formula does, indeed, contain baking soda. I didn't see a response to a previous comment from "Curious" and I, too, would like to know. In the meantime, thanks for a great product at a better price!

Disappointed
I usually purchase Tide with Bleach alternative, but I saw this product and price and decided to give it a try. It didn't remove the dirt any where close to my other Tide product. I followed directions on the bottle. Should I have used more product? I'm going back to the store to buy my Tide with bleach alternative. It's worth the extra money to have my wash done right the first time!

Smells horrible - not fresh
If you are looking for simple, clean and fresh.. Keep looking. This detergent has an overwhelming artificial scent that is neither simple nor fresh. It smells pretty awful. I had to rewash all the closes origninally washed in this detergent because the smell on my clothes was awful. I use Tide detergent exclusively but this formulation is a big miss!

Really Awful Scents
I had coupons and a sale at a local store, so purchased two different scents of this product. Honestly, both smelled horrible. I hung some of the clothing (delicate blouses) up to dry, and after being gone for a few hours I entered my house and could not figure out what that horrible smell was - it was the clothes hanging up. I ended up re-washing both loads I had washed with Tide Simply Clean, and threw both bottles of detergent away. Both scents smelled like men's cheap cologne. I do no recommend this product.

I can finally afford clean clothes
Before I tried Tide Simply Clean , I was using a mid level detergent that I thought was a decent alternative to the more expensive Tide. The brand I used is the same price as TSC so my last purchase, I decided to forgo the purchase of my regular detergent to try the new TSC . Well let me say that I am now in laundry heaven. My clothes smell fantastic and my laundry is bright! My only question is : How long before Tide realizes they can get another $3.00 per unit out of this product ?

Awful smell
I have never rated a product before, but the smell on this Tide is so awful, I felt I needed to add a comment against this product. I like all the other Tide scents, but this particular one is just horrible. It reminds me of cheap cologne and musk mixed together. Many times during the day, I'll get a whiff of a horrible scent and try to figure out where it's coming from... then I realize it's originating from my clothes or my towels... it is the scent of the laundry detergent still on the fabrics! I will never buy this again.

Not as good as regular Tide
This product does not clean as well as regular Tide. You need twice the amount to do the same job. Not really a savings if you have to use twice as much. Also, the scent is not very pleasant. We'll be going back to Tide w/Febreeze. It's worth the extra $$ to get the job done right.

It works
Just bought Tide Simply Clean. And want to say if you have grease, oil, heavy odors. This product is the best. I have mechanics and chiefs in this. House. So I deal with oil, Greece, food, dirt, just name it. Simply clean takes the grime out and still smells good. Excellent work Tide!

Spectacular!
I purchased a small jug of Tide Simply Clean & Fresh and was mystified by the way my clothes smelled after coming out of the dryer. This is simply the best smelling laundry detergent on the market. I immediately went to the store to purchase a family size jug. I love the smell and can't believe that I don't have to bother with buying dryer sheets. Usually I purchase the dryer sheets to camouflage the smell of bleach after washing my whites. I am very pleased that this products has a long lasting scent that withstands the bleach smell and the dryer that can sometimes remove the fresh scent from your clothes. GREAT JOB TIDE! Great Price!
I have always loved Tide but over the years it has just gotten so expensive. I saw this at Walmart and thought that it was a mistake with the price and grabbed a bottle before they were all sold out. I was hooked the first time. I was even more excited when I went back and found that $9 was the regular price! Love the smell, Love the way it cleans my laundry! Tide Loyalist Loving This New Version
I come from a family of Tide loyalists and am in love with this new version. A great value and same great outcome as regular Tide. The fragrance is bold but not overwhelming. I'm a laundry nerd if there can be such a thing - my grandmother & mom taught me how to take care of things the right way. Props to P&G's product team - you hit a home run! FINALLY!
Tide has been a hands down favorite in our family for generations. Recently, penny pinching has led me to try other (cheaper) brands. I would stand at the laundry display and lament the cost of Tide compared to the bargain brands. When this affordable Tide showed up on the shelf, I was delighted!!! I bought one to try it, and it delivers every bit of the cleaning and deodorizing power of the Tide I have loved since my Grandma did the lundry! GO TIDE!!! Way to make an affordable option! I can say that I am a truly satisfied customer when it comes to Tide simply clean and fresh laundry detergent. I can honestly say that I haven't really been a fan of Tide in the past. Usually my detergent of chose was Gain but I will be switching over to tide. I love everything about this product the Smell, Price and the end result of my clothes. The only thing that I would suggest is to make a larger load count. So I won't have to make so many trips to the store.

First time I've not liked a Tide product
First, it smells terrible. It wasn't that bad then I whiffed it in the store, but after going through the wash and smelling piles of clothes with this "perfume" I had a headache. My husband asked if I was wearing men's deoderant! The smell is like cheap men's grooming products. But, I digress, scents are a personal thing. The biggest problem is that it does not clean well. I wanted to post pictures, but I can't on this site. My white socks looked dingy and embarrassing! I use unscented Tide, usually, and I never had this happen before. The clothes don't even look like they went through the washing machine. I was hoping to find a good product at a good price, but I'll just pay the dollar more for my tried and true Tide and forget this product. Too bad I bought two of these before I knew how terrible they were. There is 10 bucks down the drain I guess. I'll just be using it to wash dog bedding and my outdoor gardening gear.

CURIOUS
Although my results with Tide Simply Clean & Fresh were positive, I am curious as to why there is a reference to baking soda on the cap; however, baking soda is not listed among the ingredients. It appears that the product might not contain trusted baking soda and the introduction of this formula detergent was to compete with the leading baking soda brand. Kirk

New, and most definitely liking it!
First of all, the thing that has really hooked me on this, is the all but too CLASSIC scent! The scent isn't overpowering; it's just a pure, clean scent, that lasts and lasts. It kinda reminds me of how DOWNY original use to smell. It cleans well, in my opinion. Using it in a Standard Washing machine. (I don't like HE washers) - With it, I use DOWNY original, so that I have the full scent of the new TIDE smell. Thanks Tide! Keep this CLASSIC non-perfume scent around! Good price too! :-)

A steal
My clothes are squeaky clean with the freshest scent. The price is affordable and it's better then any of the other brand alternatives I have used at this price. Thank You for this product. Honestly, I was thinking it's a promotional price and the quality of the detergent was to raise sales. It's almost too good to be true. I have two teen boys and soiled laundry. This Tide Simply Clean & Fresh has my whites and colors bright, clean and fresh smelling.

Scented detergent
Purchased the Simply Clean & Fresh Refreshing Breeze. Do not care for the scent as it is too strong & clings to the fabric. I would only use it again on towels and not clothing. Next time I will only buy unscented detergent.

Curious of a "Cheaper" Tide
I Bought This in the"Refreshing Breeze Scent"- liquid has a bit more of a runny consistency but not much & color is the same tide blue. Scent is REALLY STRONG & doesn't have that original Tide smell to me. It did perform about as well as my tide with bleach alternative & stood up to my husbands lightly soiled work clothes but I had to use 2 capfulls. .My overall opinion: Good. But 2 capfuls a load at only $1 less than original tide isn't worth the heavy scent.
