Tide Simply Clean and Fresh Liquid Laundry Detergent Refreshing Breeze

Is this supposed to be the "new thing" in detergent? It's marbelized in the most unappealing colors. If it's "clean" then where is the color coming from? This is the Refreshing Breeze variety. Normally Tide is so reliable. Maybe something went wrong. Is it safe to use or has it 'gone off'?

I use this product all the time and this is the first time I have ever had this experience of the liquid being a greenish color. It terrified me. I am on a budget this week and purchase a small bottle for my family clothes and poured this all into my clothes. I DO NOT have extra money to go buy another bottle because I’m afraid of what it may do to our skin, especially in our undergarments . I am at the laundromat too, so I can’t afford to rewatch them in just water. This is a bad experience that makes me consider using a different brand. We need our clothes and towels and I just pray that everything will work out okay. 🙏🏾 This shouldn’t happen Proctor

Brand new and came out brown green. The bubbles were even strange. I have never seen anything like it with any other laundry detergent. Money lost because it went in the garbage.

I poured some to wash a load of clothes and it was brown green with dark brown residue in it. It was disgusting I put some in a clear cup and the garage sink to make sure I was seeing the true color too. I grabbed my wife and she agreed it was bad. I poured the remainder of the bottle down the garage sink to get rid of the gross detergent. I have never seen anything so nasty I had to wash my clothes a 2nd time to get this crap out of my clothes with a different detergent.

I bought two large bottles of this at Home Depot because it was offered at a great price. Well I now know why! I poured this to use it and it looks like used motor oil. I never would have thought that I'd have to open up laundry detergent before buying it to do quality control inspection, this should be done by the manufacturer. I'm also disheartened about the lack of concern by Tide/P

Another purchaser who found the detergent to be brown, sludgy, and with a bad smell. It still seems to clean, but the smell is off-putting.

Purchased this just now, and get home to find out it is brown. Unless Tide left it in the sun, it’s another reason it’s brown. My wife was very upset on spending retail price and get told to put it aside and buy more???? Really, just go buy some more brown goo. Tide, you should do better.

I just bought 4 bottles of this yesterday at Hone Depot. Went to use it and when I poured it into the washer, it was brown and sluggish. Since I already opened up the one, I’ll use it but not very happy about it. The others are being returned.

I bought this yesterday brand new brought it straight inside from my car, and I only live a minute from the store so it wasn’t in the car or exposed to light for longer than 3 minutes if that. Today I open it up to do laundry and it’s brownish blackish sludge! I poured it all into a clear bowl to see if anything was in it but there wasn’t it’s just gross brownish black sludge! Come online to see multiple people are having this issue. So clearly it’s something on TIDES end and not from being exposed to light or whatever BS excuse tide is using. Give us our money back and fix your product!

I came to this website to find out if there is a fabric softener sheet that’s recommended with this detergent. I am really surprised to see so many issues people have had with this. I’ve been using this product for one year and I absolutely love it. Luckily, I’ve never received a bottle that was not blue liquid. I like the scent as well as the job. It does cleaning my family’s clothes. I also love the value as this version of Tide as it is usually priced a couple dollars less than my previous Tide version or is on sale! Great job, Tide!!

I purchased this product at Dollar General. Brought home immediately. Never exposed to heat or light on my watch. Like others, was shocked first time I tried using. Brown sludge describes it perfectly. I will follow manufacturer's advice and dispose of it. However Tide Corp should offer refunds and pull product off market as this seems to be a universal problem/defect..

Are you kidding me? Dozens of people telling you that the smell is awful and that the liquid is brown and you're blaming it on sunlight in a plastic bottle where no light can get in? Seriously! Do not buy do not use do not pass go do not collect 200.

I bought this at night, took it home and it was brown/sludgy (definitely did not get any sunlight on my watch like Tide is trying to say) It’s very concerning that ALL the reviews are the same, yet you are telling us it’s due to “direct sunlight” 🤔 Horrible product! Refreshing Breeze smells so strong and to me it smells like poison. My clothes have such a strong odour from it and I can barely breathe this in without feeling sick. I feel like this scent is poisoning me. What happened to the good old original Tide scent? Why make this toxic scent? It’s disgusting, and I will never buy it again.

I like this detergent and have been using it for a while now, however this is the 3rd time getting it and it being a cloudy green color . Don’t go to home depot to get it that’s where I continue to have problems. I have two new bottles I just got and now I don’t want to use it.

I bought this at Home depot because it was a good price from a name brand company. It was a wierd color. The clothes didnt come out very well. I stopped using it. Its very disturbing. My wife now doesnt want me bringing home detergent from a hardware store. Might be worth testing a sample to see whats caused this to change to brown/green.

we purchased three bottles at the same time of the same detergent. The first one was fine. The second one went opened. It was brown, sludgy looking at first I thought it was motor oil the brown had slightly separated from some kind of oily base… what the heck and all my 60 years I’ve never seen such a thing occur. This detergent is horrible! It's no better than extra and double the price! It didn't remove any stains even pretreated ones the detergent is thin and takes twice the amount to half way clean clothes. Clothes do not smell fresh and clean. I tried this once but never again I will stick to using Persil its never done me wrong. There are absolutely no pros to this product

This product leaves white marks on black clothes. It's awful. I had to spend a lot of time scrubbing the detergent marks off my clothes. Save your money!

i purchased a bottle of this (it was my favorite) until today i open the bottle to use it and the soap is a nasty brown/green color and smells TERRIBLE! i tried to call the company and got told i wasn’t calling during business hours. i put the bottle where my other bottles are! this is definitely a bad batch!!

This is not the first review stating the detergent turned brown, so you have a quality issue. It was quite disgusting and had a smell of it being bad mixed in with the breeze smell. I have dumped a smaller bottle before and just dumped more than half of a big jug. Literally money down the drain.

I've read a few reviews complaining they didn't like the scent of refreshing breeze. Did they not smell it before buying? I really like this scent and like the fact that it stays on the clothes even after the full wash and dry is done. People will complain about anything just to try and get something free. The Tide simply clean all in one refreshing breeze is awful, my clothes smell funky during washing and after, I have to rinse twice eventhough I use the correct amount. I'm never trusting Tide again. I read reviews and many people were complaining about this issue and I was puzzled and decided to try it. I I regret my purchase and I don't recommend this product.

There are five lines in the cap and nowhere on the bottle does it tell you what line to use for what size load. I shouldn’t have to look online for dosing instructions

This detergent smells awful. I washed my sheets in it and couldn’t breath all night. I don’t know if it’s an allergic reaction or what since I’ve never had this issue with other tide products. If you are sensitive to scents then stay clear, smells like my grandmother spilled her perfume in my bed. Really over powering and awful.

My mother in law bought recommended Tide Simply Clean and Fresh. We both prefer the refreshing breeze scent for our towels and bedding. The scent lasts for a good while. Also, it cleans very well. I'm just in love.

I recently bought a small bottle of Tide Simply Refreshing Breeze because I needed an enzyme free detergent to clean wool blankets. It cleans ok but the smell is nauseating, almost like gasoline. The stench fades after the cloth dries but I would not buy this again. The Daybreak Fresh version smells better but small bottles of it are very hard to find. Tide must deliberately make Refreshing Breeze so repulsive in order to force consumers to buy huge bottles of Daybreak Fresh.

This product gave me a very strong hives. Unfortunately, I didnt identify in time that the soap was the problem.

I have faithfully continued to purchase Simply Tide since its debut several years back. I recently purchased my usual large family size of Simply Fresh Breeze. Not only am I paying $6.00 more, for less detergent, the formula has changed. The formula use to be thick, now it is watered down and less detergent. I am certainly not pleased, with this noticeable change.

We love the long lasting scent and the better price point. The only recommendation is that none of the bottle say HE on them so it left me really questioning if it was safe for my machine or not. It appears that it is safe after jumping on line.

Every time I wash dark colors, especially black, it leaves soap residue all over. Tried using less soap, more water, everything, it doesn't seem to matter. My dark clothes are never "clean" after using this product. Thought I would try a name brand, will go back to off brands, better price and certainly cleaner clothes. I don't really know about the smell as I have sinus issues that impact my sense of smell

Price is better than regular Tide but if it doesn’t clean as well, so not worth lower cost. And there is no use info on the bottle I got from Dollar General. I had to look up how much to use. Also, doesn’t say if OK for HE washers.

I'm sorry but the Tide Simply Clean and Fresh (Refreshing Breeze) in its original formula was Great, but now that you've brought about the 2 and 1 formula, it is nasty. It doesn't clean any better and the smell is too overbearing. Please go back to the original formula, or at the very least, market both formulas giving us a real choice. Change is not always for the better, and the reviews seem to be sending a Simply Clean and Fresh message. Thank you, Respectfully, Bugs Bunny

This new scent is just absolutely horrible. its so overpowering and smells awful. why did you change the scent of the refreshing breeze? it was simply perfect as it was. and now it smells like every other laundry detergent out there. that was the only reason i used tide. now well ill have to find another brand and scent i like and it will not be Tide

I have been using this detergent for years and it has always been fine. Lightly scented and an decent scent. But I just bought a new bottle and the scent has changed. It is absolutely horrible. Not only is the scent awful, but the smell is so overpowering that I need to rewash all my bedding. I am not sure what to do with an almost full bottle, but I can't use it.

I bought the small 31 oz. Bottle to try. You have 5 lines on the bottle cap but nowhere does it say what they mean on the bottle. Why not put directions for use on the bottle.

The "Daybreak Fresh" scent is terrible! It is so strong that it triggered a migraine-also made me sneeze like crazy until 4 AM. Had to rewash all of my clothes and sheets. I'm going to try a different brand an ensure it's unscented. Who needs the additional chemicals for a wretched scent.

I usually use original Tide or Persil but they are also expensive. I bought the simply clean (green label) and the price was significantly cheaper. I had a couple grease stains on my hoodie I pretreated and washed and was suprised how well this cleaned. The oil stains were gone. For around the same price as Xtra (you get a bit more Xtra), sun (more sun too) in regards to # of loads you can do, it completely blows them out of the water. Compared to regular tide my guess is it wont remove all stains but should tackle most. Again for the price range it is a very solid product and high tier in that range

I use to love the Refreshing Breeze scent when it was serial number 91273169. Now again, they’ve tampered with the scent like they did with Tide Original scent. Why must you all keep changing the scents that we are accustomed to and have smelled for years?!! I hope that you will bring back the real Tide Original Scent before it was changed, also the original Refreshing Breeze scent from serial #91273169. If it’s not broke, don’t fix it!!!

Smells nice and it does the job. I use it every time I want to do my laundry and it does the job well. It also is very affordable and a good quantity for the price

Ehh I don’t live the simply clean as much as the original but I’ve bought it and don’t hate it either. Tide cleans clothes and leaves your clothes refreshed and revived that’s why they are a great brand. But it’s not my favorite.

I love original tide and when I bought this one I never went back. I like the fresh scent and it gets out the odors and makes your clothes clean and fresh. It actually very affordable compared to regular tide. I would definitely recommend it to others.

This is a lighter product than the regular tide but works very well in my front load machine for lighter fabrics and less soiled things. Affordable and usually available in most stores.

I like to use this on my niece's clothing because she breaks out with a lot of other detergents even other scent free detergents and there have been no problems with Tide simply clean. This laundry detergent isn't to hard on the wallet, and I am happy with the job it does cleaning the clothes.

I love Tide Simply and honestly prefer it over my old stand by of original Tide. It's economical but not cheap by any means.

In general, I'm not particular about my cleaning products but when it comes to laundry, I always buy Tide. At some point in my life, I was trying to get red wine out of a shirt and soaking it in tide saved the day. Its been my pick every since.

This is my preferred laundry soap due to sensitive skin. I like that it doesn’t leave to much of a scent behind on my clothes as well. I have found that it is quite a bit more affordable then regular tide & there is always coupons to get more money off.

I've been a loyal Tide customer for years because it does the job, but this new scent is unbearable. It gives me headaches. I'll be looking for a different detergent. Returning the new container back to the store. Compared to older bottles in my laundry room there is definitely a change and it's not for the better. Very disappointing.

I was loving this detergent when I discovered it in 2020, but this last jug I bought in June 2021 has a very different scent — would very much like to know if Tide altered the scent? It is stronger, more perfumey, less “clean” now… Also, I’ve noticed the washing machine does not have very much sudsing with this detergent — would very like to know if this is normal with this formula? Recently bought a bottle and the smell has changed. Makes me nauseous. The scent before was the best ever. But this new one...I will definitely find something else. Some scents don't sit well with me and this is one of them. I still have an older bottle of the product and compared them to see if it was my imagination. It is not. Why is it changed? BTW, I don't like the 'green' label scent, daybreak. But the 'blue' was wonderful.

I like the clean scent and cleaning power in this detergent. Nice. Thick consistency so I feel that my laundry is always getting clean.

I really enjoyed the smell of this detergent at first, but I soon broke out in a rash/hives that was later to be determined to be this detergent. I do not have a history of allergies to detergents/scents so it took a trip to the ER to figure out. There are many others saying the same thing for this product in Amazon reviews. Tide- I think y’all may need to take a closer look at this formula and how it reacts to human skin after multiple contacts.

I have very sensitive skin so I have to be very careful of what I do. This laundry soap does its job well cleans without a lot perfume scents and I don't get all itchy

I only use this tide, I love it and have never seen a stain that didn't come out, and I have 2 boys. It can handle them, I won't use anything else. It is very affordable here I get the big bottle for less than $ 7.00 here and it last me about 2 months, I do recommend you try it.

I use Tide Simply Oxi , works great, for heavier stains I use a stain remover and scrub before washing item but in general it works very well and the price , you just can’t beat that and my clothes smell fresh

This is my favorite detergent. Works great. Smells great. And is a great value. I just got a new HE washing machine and found that I can keep using this detergent which is great.

I have tried various Tide detergents and different brands but they don't remove the Antiperspirant/body oder smell. This product really works and my clothes don't have a strong laundry detergant smell. People must read the dosage instructions and it really works and is also cost effective. I do not normally write reviews but this product deserves it as I bought it due to the fact that it was the only one available at the store and was worried after seeing the bad reviews but that was misleading so I thought I should do my part to rectify it. Thank you Tide for an awesome product and please do not discontinue or change it.

I love tide and have been using them for years but this product left my entire body covered in a very itchy rash I found it to be odd that I caught an allergic reaction to this one considering I’ve never had an allergy or an allergic reaction in my life and I’m 31 and also the fact that it’s “simply clean and free”

It's great for sensitive skin n toddler clothes. Not a fan of the smell tho but it does a decent job. I would change the smell of I could but that's the only thing I would change

This smells really good but also cleans the cloths really well. My husband it's a maintenance man and sometimes it's hard to take the stain off really well but this is good.

Tide is a good product. It costs a little more than some of the other brands. Tide will leave the laundry looking and smelling clean. On a scale of 1-10, I will give Tide a 9. I have purchased Tide at Walmart and at the local grocery store. I have purchased the liquid and pods.

I thought the strong perfume type smell was because I was smelling it from the bottle. But my clothes came out smelling like cheap perfume that has gone bad. There is absolutely nothing clean or fresh about this scent. Please stop selling this or label it “grandmother’s old Avon scent”

My husband is a mechanic so his clothes are always greasy and grimy. I have tried so many different laundry detergents and none of them have worked good. Then I decided to give this a shot and I am so glad that I did! It not only cleans his clothes it actually makes them smell good and feeling clean, no more greasy grimy feeling anymore! I washed my daughter's laundry twice (and even added borax booster) but the armpits still smelled like bo. The second time it smelled like cheap cologne on top of bo! Ewww. I can only assume it is not getting the clothes clean. Will donate/throw this detergent away.

Not a lot of ingredients in this but it leaves my clothes clean and smelling great. Don't let the price fool you. Works just as great as the more expensive options.

I bought the product because I thought it was same Tide with new color scheme. No real warning it was something new and cheaper. I have to throw it away, reorder from the grocery store and REWASH an entire load because the scent was so strong it permeated the fabric of my clothes. I will stick with Tide and get the original which I would have if I had paid more attention.

This product is cheap watered down garbage. Not sure how people are giving it a good rating. I don't know what you would use this garbage to wash? Maybe unused bedding from a spare bedroom? Maybe? But never on any clothing that has been worn. I've used Tide for most of my life and thought I would give it a try with what appeared to be similar to a sales price. This is a horrible product. Your clothes will smell terrible for days, maybe weeks. Rewashing doesn't fix it. It smells like dollar store detergent and the price is just to bait you. I dumped it out.

They are half full now! They moved thin window on bottle to handle side to hide or cover up their cheapness. OXI one has less oz. for same price. Will stay away from P&G

Why create an inferior Tide? Smells like a gas station bathroom. Ok when sniffed from the bottle, but clothes end up smelling disgusting. Gross.

You have changed the packaging of the bottles & now they won't stay on their side. An entire 138 fl oz bottle slide off my shelf, emptied on the floor & got wasted! The liquid itself has changed also.

A good detergent very affordable and design is great. Leaves clothes smelling and looking clean i recommend this product when i can. I will definitely use it for a long time.

I've been a loyal Tide user FOR EVER, always buying Tide in the ORANGE bottle. Well last week I was price-suckered into buying Tide in a YELLOW bottle. TOTAL GARBAGE! DON'T YOU DO IT! I'm so MADD!

At first I thought maybe it was my washing machine but it wasn't. This detergent did not get my clothes clean at all. So very disappointed in this Tide product.

Should I use any bleach with this product to wash white clothes? I once used a sodium bicarbonate based bleach with Tide and clothes smelled awful. What kind of bleach you recommend?

I needed a Tide product that would remove the smell from my son's football uniform and practice jersey. The Tide Sport was okay for my workout clothes but not his. This stuff really did the trick!

This stuff is alright if you are just average Joe who doesn’t get dirty and has an office job. I’d buy it again, but probably just for sheets and towels etc.

This detergent smells great out the bottle, but it leaves clothes smelling old and musty after it's been dried.

The freshest smell and cleans fantastic. Please continue to make this one!

This RUINED my 44.00 dress :( :( . I had a few small spots on my NEW dress so I put some of this rot gut on the spots to take them off. It got the spots out but left bigger ones!

I loved the scent, the clean, and the stain removal. I think there’s different strokes for different folks. For me, this works. This product does what I need it to do.

I use Refreshing Breeze on occasion. I usually do 4 loads of wash every week.It gets my clothing clean and it smells fresh. I usually break out with most scented detergents but I do not with this one

I really liked this at firs but then I noticed my clothes looking shabby and piling. This detergent seems too harsh on material.

This product is perfectly named. My laundry is always clean and fresh. I love the scent and the results. Reminds me of throwback times when people hung their cloths outside and they smelled so fresh.

what wizardry are you guys using up there to get such a wonderful scent?! Refreshing Breeze literally smells like line dried clothes on a beautiful and sunny spring day! BRAVO!

I love the smell. This will be the only detergent I use. I recommend this product.

The refreshing breeze scent in this product is wonderful! It smells a little strong when washing which is ok for me but it is PERFECT when coming out of the dryer.
