To develop the ultimate boosted clean, Tide perfected its formula on thousands of prototypes and hundreds of wash simulations - across 22 different types of stains, multiple fabrics, washing conditions, and machine types - delivering superior performance with tech-advanced stain removal, whiteness, brightness, and freshness.

Why did Tide create this new formula?
The laundry landscape is constantly evolving – new synthetic fabrics, new machines, and busier lifestyles that create new cleaning challenges. At Tide, we never stop innovating to stay ahead of those changes and give you the certainty of clean.
Over the course of 10 years, Tide scientists have been conducting tens of thousands of tests and wash simulations across real-life conditions - different fabrics, stains, wash temperatures, and machine types - to develop this upgraded formula and ensure it works for the toughest everyday challenges. From sports uniforms to coffee spills and thrifted finds, this new formula gives you the certainty of clean - every time.
Will it be more effective in stain, sweat and odor removal?
The new formula has been boosted with 25% more cleaning surfactants to power through tough grease stains, even in a cold-water wash. The new formula also contains 40% more non-ionic surfactants to break down body soils, like sweat, which are one of the toughest sources of lingering odors.
How does it keep whites whiter?
With its new soil-release polymer technology, the boosted formula helps prevent dirt from re-depositing onto clothes during the wash. That means your fabrics stay cleaner for longer, protecting the vibrancy of your favorite colors and helping your whites resist dullness over time. This means brighter brights and whiter whites, so your wardrobe stays fresh.
