Tide keeps my clothes clean and smelling fresh all day long. My husband and I both have dirty jobs so we keep the laundry detergent business hopping. I do love that ride offers multiple sizes so if I need to take a small bottle alone while traveling or have a large bottle for home use. It’s a great value for my money.

PSA for others! I have been using Tide pods for sheets and towels for my household, so I recently decided to try this hygienic clean pod option. For about 10 days I’ve had a very itchy skin rash that has gotten worse. My kids have matching (fortunately smaller) spots, so we’ve been trying to figure it out. This is the culprit. I have re-washed sheets with non-irritating detergent, but my rash has gotten so bad that I just had to get a prednisone prescription to help clear it up. Nothing like this has ever happened, so I want to caution others. It’s crazy that detergent can make your skin this irritated :(.

I love how Tide cleans and santizes your clothing and towels. It is easy to use. Just pop in a pod and start it up. The Heavy duty Hygienic clean helps get all the grime and gunk out of your laundry. Also, what a deal the 32 pod pack was less than 15 dollars. Also my clothes smell so freah.

I used these Pods …. Smelled strong but clean. Couldn’t figure out why I was itching so much Last night was the worse, I took a Benadryl to sleep. Figured out had to be the pods. I won’t be buying these again. Any suggestions what I can use? I really love Tide x

Please do not change the scent or anything about this product! My favorite tide by far. I work with animals and these get everything clean and the scent is the best, I am reading about people saying the scent lingers, I agree and it's a good thing! People always compliment that we smell clean. Great stuff.

I used this product in a load of laundry over the father's day weekend. This product has left bleach like streaks on an undergarment and my new father's day T shirt my wife bought me. They are now ruined. I knew better that to use such a product. The scent is also very strong and I don't like it.

I was so impressed with how well this pod cleaned my clothes. I never tried these before but my friend gave me one and my clothes were never this clean! I’m going to be buying this product regularly. I thought it was too expensive but by the way it cleaned my clothes, it is well worth the price. I really liked the smell too. I like lots of fragrance that lasts on my clothes so this is a product I will use regularly.

I bought these for the convenience of the packaging and the expected quality I’ve known from the Tide brand. These pods pack too much of a fragrant punch that last long after washing, for some people this might be great but it’s not for me. I’ve washed everything once again without any detergent to make the items wearable. Today I purchased Gain pods to replace these mega strong Tide scent bombs. Now these will sit on my laundry shelf until I’m either desperate or I find a homeless camp or a high school football team that needs their laundry done.

As a preface, I typically DO NOT like chemical smells. After using this version of PODS, I love the way my clothes smell and appreciate the length of how long the smell lingers. In addition to the great smell I have found that the fabrics are softer after being washed as well. (I do not use a softener with this product). My only wish that it was available at CostCo and a little less expensive. Thank you!

This is my go to laundry detergent because it just works perfectly and clothes are always clean and any stains are removed plus any viruses or bacteria I may have encountered on my clothes are as such will be dissolved and cleaned , and love that it still has that nice smell to it , I've bought a ton of this product and keep several packs of these pods on hand, so when I do laundry 🧺 I never run out, Thank you TIDE!!! When we switched to Tide Pods, this particular variety has been my go-to because the scent was pleasant. Recently, though, around the time the new packaging was introduced, the scent has a sharper note to it, which is too strong for people sensitive to certain scents. I know this because I still have some of the older pods and compared the two. It's unfortunate that the scent has been changed as I will likely have to find a more suitable detergent because whatever has been added to it is awful.

Bought this product because professional reviews stated it was amazing on whites. I had switched to a non-Tide detergent, after years of Tide powder, and our whites were gross now. I was so excited! Sadly, I learned a tough lesson- the cleaning power may be impressive, but the level of perfume in these pods is insane. My one kid got super nauseous from the smell when he came home and this load was in the dryer, and the rest of us got terrible headaches and migraines. And our couch throws still reek after being re-washed in baking soda and vinegar, I am probably going to throw them away. I bought two of the 63 pac containers- and it was a huge waste of almost $60! I am, literally, just sick about it.

I can’t believe it! I got red pop out of a cream colored new sweatshirt. I thought it was ruined. I threw it in the washing machine and wasn’t expecting the stains to disappear. I took it out of the washer and the stains were gone! Truly an amazing product.

Loved the smell of this product. Can’t say my laundry was super dirty and that it got it extra clean. But would purchase again just for the smell.

These are by far my favorite thing to wash my clothes in. After washing, my clothes always feel very clean and soft. They are the only pods I have found that actually leave my clothes smelling good and leave a lingering scent without adding scent beads to the load. These pods leave my clothes smelling great for weeks!!

This is the only laundry detergent I will use for my family’s clothing. This is gentle enough on dedicates yet strong enough to get rid of stains and odors. I have sensitive skin and this causes no issues. I highly recommend. We love Tide

I bought these cause I work for a railroad, nothing seemed to be keeping my clothes clean and smelling fresh. Every load has been 1 pod, came out clean, smelled amazing and dissolved without a problem. Totally recommend.

Tide Power Pods Heavy Duty Cleans clothes, removes stains and odors. I highly recommend this detergent. My daughter plays softball and her uniform gets really dirty this detergent removes stains with a breeze!

I tried and loved the liquid version of these, so I decided to try the pods…. And the pods work just as well as the liquid. I always have both on hand and use both all the time. Easily the best detergent I’ve tried, and I’ve tried them ALL.

1 pod created too many suds and didn’t rinse out. Would not recommend for home use.

I bought the Tide Power Pods Heavy Duty at my nearest Walmart store. I definitely love them because they are measured correctly, but also because they have more concentrated cleaning ingredients. They are easy to use, and they now have child lock. So it can be safe around your children.

The only Detergent we use on my husbands work clothes. He works in the oilfield - it’s the only way we can get his clothes back to wearable again. It smells great and gets oil and stains off with ease

This product works great. Gets clothes clean, smells the best and last a long time. The colors stay bright. The pods are so convenient and no mess.

These do not fully dissolve and rinse cleanly, even when directions are followed. I found out the hard way, when I suffered from a chemical burn from a small amount of detergent didn't wash out of my sports bra. I checked the rest of my laundry from the same load and found more detergent residue. I usually use the sports odor defense and have never had this issue.

Do not hesitate about buying this…just go buy it. You won’t regret it. The smell is amazing but that’s not all…the cleansing power of these pods is unmatched in my opinion. 10/10 hands down the best ever.

Lol idk what’s up with everyone fussing, but first off, if something is shipped to you and arrives leaking or otherwise damaged, that’s not the manufacturer’s fault. That said, we absolutely love these. The scent is amazing and the cleaning power is unmatched. A lot of people hype Persil up, and I’m not saying that Persil is a bad detergent by any means, but in our opinion the hygienic power pods clean much better. Also, Persil literally smells like Megatron’s medicine cabinet or something. If you want actually clean clothes, these will not be beat. As far as price, you get what you pay for. If you want cheap meme detergents, then buy cheap meme detergents and get cheap meme results. If you want clean, get these.

I bought Tide pods 85 ct and once i got home and opened the tub of pod most of the pods were busted open! It was very unfortunate for me because the particular container cost me around $30. I should have just purchased the liquid instead.

I received two sample pods with my new washer. I was leery to use these due to the offensive strong smell of the pods right out of the packaging. I washed my clothes and the entire laundry rooms was reeking of what I consider a TOXIC smell. I waited till the next day to see if maybe the smell dissapated BUT NO JUST AS STRONG. I had to re wash the entire load wasting electricity and water. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND this to anyone. If you are so dang dirty that you need 10x the cleaning power then you need to rethink your habits.

Very disappointed. Nothing was clean. Small stains on sheet were still there. My work lab coat, looked the same. Still had “ring around the collar”. Bought this to wash towels, sheets and clothes the day before surgery. Rewahed everything with Persol. This Tide seemed like blue water. Pure garbage.

I have to use Tide that is “free and clear”. I cannot handle detergents that have a strong smell. That is why I use Tide Free and Clear. My pros and cons are for the product you asked about.

Got these pods as a sample with my new washing machine. Washed sheets and pillowcases and now cannot sleep on them because of the overwhelming fragrance (migraine trigger for me) from the pods. I've rewashed several times with baking soda and vinegar rinses and the odor remains. Any suggestions?

Tide is the only detergent that can help me clean my son’s dirty clothes. Since he is a construction worker, it gets really filthy and with Tide it becomes really clean. I also reccomend Tide because I am a housekeeper and it helps me do their laundry more efficient.

I've always had sensitive skin. When I was a baby my mom found out I was allergic to her purex powder soap when I was like 1 month old. Doctor had her change to tide. Well I'm 40 now and my mom has used nothing else. When I was in my 20s I tried All and cheer. Nothing got my clothes clean. I'm allergic to gain, sun, and cheaper detergents. I began using tide pods probably 10 yrs ago. When they came out with the oxi ones I was wowed a couple yrs ago. I have lots of dogs, a husband and teenager so I I wash big loads. I switched to these because I only have to use 1 and it really gets everything clean. We love them.

I bought these for the first time at my local BJs and wanted to love these so bad but after 3 loads in my front load Kenmore washer they seem to not be fully dissolving. I’ve found clothing with stains that looks like boogers have been stuck to them only to look close enough to see it’s the pod shell? Not sure what else to call it. They smell great like other tide detergent I’ve used.

This is a great laundry detergent. I love how easy it is use. I just toss one pod in my clothes in the washer and I'm good to go. This product gets my laundry clean and has a good smell that last a long time. The only downfall is sometimes the pod doesn't dissolve all the way and leaves some of it on my clothes. It's easy to fix I just wash it again and it comes right off.

I usually use Gain detergent. I recently bought a new washer and a sample tide pod x10 came with it. I gave it a try and loved them. The smell on my clothes is wonderful. And the smell lasts. I don't get the bad reviews about this. And it came with a 2 dollar coupon that I will be using to buy more Tide Pods X10 tomorrow!! I don’t usually use these. I went to my mom house and she gave me a few, honey when I say the best. My clothes smell wonderful. It literally only took one. I love it and now I’m a customer. I literally stopped my day to do this review that’s how amazed I was

The original formula tide is good but this hygenic clean tide is horrible. The smell stays on clothes throughout the day. I ma gagging wearing a t shirt. I wash a blanket and could not sleep because the smell was waking me up. I threw off the blanket so I could sleep. Bad, bad product!! Want my money back.

These pods love up to the heavy duty label. I work as a waiter, and my clothes get stained all the time. These clean my clothes great and have them smelling great

My washer broke at home, so my mom let me use her washer. I bought these pods thinking they would clean my cloths better and not dirty up her washer. I had no idea that they would smell so strong and strong is an understatement. I hate the smell and now I am going to have to rewash everything and take all my clothes back over to my mom's. I am so annoyed and do not have time for this. There should be a warning on the label that says extra scented or something like that as I see I am not the only one upset about this issue. Label says original scent which it may be but is so strong it smells like men's cologne, and I am not a man nor do i want to smell like a man. I also have sensitive skin and have noticed some slight itching on my arm after using this product. Wasted my money I bought 2 25 counts on sale for 24$.

These are meant for soiled clothes, workout clothes, cheer sneakers etc. They clean these items, killing the oder and germs, you can wash other items with them and are guaranteed that they get clean and everything doesn't smell like sweaty workout gear. If I didn't have a child in sports I'd use another pod for regular laundry that tide makes and keep a small amount on hand for really filthy laundry which these are clearly intended for as they have plenty of variety here so you can choose the pod for your needs

I have tried multiple laundry pods over the years, and this is by far my absolute favorite!! It tops gain, and it tops every other tide pod on the market. It's very affordable, because the pods here seem to go much further than the other pods. My laundry just feels cleaner with these, I only ever have to use one regardless of the size of the load. It makes cleaning laundry a breeze, and I don't have to worry about my laundry ever being dirty with these!! Highly recommend!

I recently switched from ALL pods to Tide pods! I’ve been using All for years because it’s inexpensive however it never really felt like it got my clothes fully clean and they never smelled fresh! I have sensitive skin and am pretty iffy when it comes to my detergents. Tide pods have left my clothes feel fresh and clean without the skin reaction I normally get. Expensive but worth the price!!

These are Horrible smelling, I washed my shirts in them and they now smell like I was in a dirty garage all day. Made me sick, blamed my husband for washing his shirts with mine after he changed our motor oil! So sorry I paid full price for these I will never use again money lost

My washer overflowed when I use the hygienic clean heavy 10 times duty. They seem bigger than the regular ones and I'm wondering if it's too much for my front end loader soap wise and that's why it overflowed help

Normally, when doing laundry, there is a pleasant smell near the laundry room. First time using the power pods, there was a distinct chemical smell. About 30 minutes after folding laundry, my inner arms started breaking out in hives….horrible itching. I thought maybe the cat had gotten into poison ivy and took a shower. Then narrowed it down to the Tide Pods and looked it up. Sure enough, apparently a lot of people are having reactions. It’s 4:30am and I’ve had a long and scary night. I’m done with Tide pods.

I hate the smell. I have the washing machine unit in my bedroom and when I used this pod the whole room smelled of tide. It also stays in clothes after wash. I just hate it. I wish I had bought the tide 3 in 1 pods. They don't smell this bad.

I love how this product cleans my clothes! I also use it with conditioner, sanitizer, stain remover, bleach, liquid brightener, and scent booster. It works well to clean and sanitize my clothes and I love it. Even when I use this on its own it works great! I snuggle with blankets washed with these pods knowing they are clean. The Scent is finally gone down here in West Central Missouri!!!!!!!!!! I can wash bedding in hot and towels etc. in hot and regular clothes in cold!!!!!!!

The fragrance of Tide Pods (in any variety) is so overpowering. I wish they smelled like the liquid detergent, and I wish they had the same lever of fragrance as the liquid detergent! I want to switch to gain pods because they smell a little better, but the reviews aren't as good. But my boyfriend cannot stand the smell of tide pods, and to be honest, neither can I. :'( Pleeease reduce the amount of fragrance used, and also consider making them smell the same as the liquid detergent, which smells amazing!

Cold water changed my life, clean and well maintained clothing

A couple of years ago I purchased a washing machine that dries clothes as well. Because of this feature, the dryer doesn't work the same as a conventional dryer, therefore the machine doesn't get all of the dust and pet hair out of clothes as well as a conventional dryer does. I have several pets and this has been a huge issue. The machine also often leaves the clothes either smelling burnt, or with no smell at all, no matter WHAT detergent softer, etc. that I use. WELL!!! These tide pods have been a god send!!!! My clothes come out smelling so fresh and clean!!!! And, I don't know if it's in my head or not, but I feel like there is MUCH LESS pet hair left behind!!!!! I don't know how they did it, but THANK YOU Tide for solving my laundry issue!!!!!!!!!

I have been using Tide products since I was young. Switching from the powder and liquid to the pods was the best thing. Then when I saw these new pods I was excited. I couldn't wait to do a new load of laundry. Unfortunately I was disappointed in these new pods. The pods didn't break completely and and left a mess. I had to rewash that load two more times just for it wash away. Then I thought maybe the water temperature is what caused it not dissolve fully. First load was with hot water. So I tried again with another load in cold water. Same thing happened but this time I only had to rewash the clothes one more time. So I'm switching back to the small pods, where I know everything will wash correctly. But will say after the multiple washes the clothes did smell great still. But I do feel like I wasted my money some.

Going back to the 4in1 oxi pods the smell does not go away. The fragrance is way to strong.

Wow this stuff is awesome. The smell is fresh and soothing and it cleans well too. I do not know what everyone is talking about with the smell. It is fabulous I really hope Tide keeps making it because this is my absolute favorite Tide.

My husband bought this by mistake and I’m sure glad he did! I have looked for a detergent that would stay smelling fresh through the day! This is it! I love the smell! The spring meadow scent is less potent, if that’s your thing! If your looking for something that will have your sheets smelling good all week! Buy this!

I loved the scent and how fragrant it was. Normally, any other detergent in I try including regular tide has no fragrance after drying. I loved the extra clean power and scent. Please don't change that! I usually buy cheap detergent, but I will spend the money for this detergent now. (Got a free sample pack from Walmart and now I'm hooked!)

Totally agree with a comments made about the strong fragrance that lingers and sticks to your skin. Does not diminish after extra rinse. Not recommended if your are sensitive to smells and strong odors.

This has been a life saver! I have many pets, all different kinds.I have tried so many different products to get the urine smell out of fabrics. This has been the best detergent that actually got the smell out the first time! My SO is a greasy mechanic and these clean his dirty clothes amazingly! Gets the smell of old gas out of clothes too! I really really love these pods! PLEASE make a larger container or powder form!

Oh my gosh, I wish I would have read the reviews about the smell before I used this! I have to air out my home! This is insane. I received this as a free sample from my grocery store and I’m honestly thinking of contact them also about this! It does clean well, but absolutely not worth the smell. Like everyone else, I ran multiple rinse cycles to try and lessen the overwhelming sent. If you want the cleaning power go for the unscented version.

I’m glad I’m not alone, like others, the scent is incredibly too strong. Too much fragrance thus made our skin itch. I blindly bought a bulk package from Costco. Big mistake! However it does clean nasty odors from dog beds and heavy blankets that are tough to get clean and smelling clean. So it’s not a total waste. I later bought the yellow jug of Tide (maybe purple flowers on the front, lavender?) and made a world of a difference. Not too much scent and still cleans well.

I bought 2 tubs of this because I use only Tide, but I cannot stand the overpowering smell. Prior to trying these I was using Tide Power Pods - Heavy Duty - no real fragrance and I love those, but now I cannot find them anywhere. So disappointed!! Please bring those back!

Oh - OW. I am a LONG time, loyal fan of Tide but I have to say the new 10x hygienic clean power pods has got to go! Did my first load with it last night.... only 1 pod, full load... the SMELL!! I had to run the wash cycles 3 more times to get the fragrance down to what I thought was an acceptable level... spent the day with a horrid headache and nausea from the STILL overpowering scent; came home from work and my apartment reeks - my poor dog!! What. the. heck. did. you. use????!!!! Hope Sir Google can help me remove the smell... seriously - this is some chemical warfare stuff!

Cleans beautifully, but STINK, STANK, STUNK!! This joins the worst-smelling, most horribly odiferous detergents of all time. I have to store clothes washed with it away from the bedroom to keep my wife from gagging. I'm going back to the scentless pods in the white container. They clean well and DON'T STINK!

I usually use Tide Pods Ultra Oxi but figured I'd give the Hygienic Clean a try because sometimes the Ultra Oxi doesn't remove all the odor from our workout clothing. I washed two loads of laundry before I realized that the scent was so overpowering that we couldn't wear anything that I'd washed in it. I've now washed the clothing 2 additional times with my normal Tide, but they still smell like the Hygienic Clean. I'm now stuck with a large tub of it. I can't tell if the clothing was any cleaner because of the overpowering scent. If an unscented version were released I might try it, but maybe not buy such a large container of it.

I really like the smell. I actually washed all milt living room blankets so they’d have the nice, clean, fresh scent. My daughter has terrible eczema and environmental allergies, so I won’t use it on her clothes, sheets, or blankets, but she loves the scent of our clothes washed with these pods. I love that I can use one of the larger pods for a large load of laundry versus 2-3 of the regular Oxi pods. Wish I could buy the Hygenic Pods in bulk at Sam’s.

I used Tide products regularly, so I was excited to try these, but the scent is FAR too strong. I washed two sets of bed linens and even ran them through an extra rinse cycle as a precaution and the scent is making me sneeze repeatedly after lying in bed for an hour. And I'm worried I may awake with a migraine. Unfortunately, I no longer have the store receipt to return them nor do I want to risk exposing someone else to possible fragrance irritation by giving them away, so I guess I'll have to save them for cleaning kitchen and microfiber floor cloths. Fingers crossed that I don't develop a rash...

I take pride in having my laundry extra clean . However my sons both work jobs that get their clothes extra greasy or dirty at times . I looked online for the best laundry soap to handle my problem . Your hygienic clean popped up and I've never looked back . My sons even noticed they couldn't tell the new shirts from the old ones . I've told all of my friends and my three sisters and we all love it . Thank you for making wash days a pleasure.

The scent from this product is so strong that I can smell it on washed clothes as soon as I walk into a room. Even when I rinse clothes twice, the scent is still way too strong. It actually makes me gag. Unfortunately, I bought a 68-pod box and I'm stuck with it. I DO NOT recommend this product.

I love the scent. I don’t find it too strong. My issue is that it doesn’t remove stains any better that the regular pods. I do like that I only have to use 1 pod for larger loads but the stains remained even after another wash cycle with 2 pods.

We got free samples with our groceries. The clothes smell great, but like other reviewers we are dealing with allergic reactions and now have to re-wash all of the laundry that was washed using the pods.

Ive been using these pods for about a week and they have given me rashes in practically every nook and cranny of my body. I’ve never gotten rashes from laundry detergent before, and have never even had a skin issue. These do a great job of getting clothes very clean even sweaty gym clothes that hold onto odors. I live alone so I wash once a week and it has no problem getting out old odors and stains. But the scent is overpowering and the detergents are quite strong that they causes a lot of irritation on my skin (which I’ve never considered sensitive before). I now wash and then run another cycle with just water after and that seems to help a lot. But it could be wasteful if you’re doing multiple loads. Please come out with a free and gentle version or maybe even scent free if gentle isn’t possible with these surfactants.

The scent of the pods is overpowering that I have to wash my clothes twice to get rid of the scent. The scent is strong that my allergies kick-in with runny eyes and nose. Your packaging should say its scented and not original or give your customer a choice of unscented or scented.

I’ve used regular Tide Pods many times. I bought these by mistake. Twice now one has “melted” onto my clothes. The first time it was a sock. No big deal. This time it’s brand new expensive pajamas! Maybe it’s time to leave my life long relationship with Tide.

I am someone who is very meticulous about cleaning and what I put in my body. I regret buying this product and using it on my clothes and kitchen towels. I used these Tide pods for a few hefty loads of laundry. I used one at a time and I always do an extra rinse to ensure there is no leftover detergent residue. Whilst folding my laundry, I immediately noticed the perfume like smell of original Tide. I felt the smell permeating from my clothes was very overwhelming. I decided to stick with it, only to find the smell easily transferred to other items and surfaces that came in contact with these clothes. My hands, skin, and even the items in my pocket smelled strongly of Tide. I am not sure how this product is considered safe. I am not comfortable with my personal items smelling like laundry detergent. I re-washed my towels because I feared the heavy duty chemicals would transfer to my food and contaminate it. I have serious doubts about the safety of this product.

I also found the fragrance to be overwhelming and had to rewash my sheets. Even then there was still a fragrance that I felt was too strong. I don't understand why companies have gotten to a place where they think if a little is good then more must be better. More cheese. More bacon. More fragrance. These reminded me of that body spray that so many young guys use that's so strong you can smell where they've been 5 minutes later. I also noticed that some items smelled like mildew when damp. Not pleasant at all.

The scent of these pods is very chemical and caused my family to complain and me to rewash every item. This may be better at getting the dirt out, but it is unusable due to the overpowering and obnoxious scent. I wish Tide would bring back the ORIGINAL scent that was jettisoned about 5 years ago. It was light, bright, and didn't cause any allergic reactions. The rollout of this product reminds me of the introduction in the 1970s of the first liquid Tide, that made your clothes smell like a mildewed towel. This product is so disappointing.

I am a lifelong Tide user. I have been using Tide 10X Liquid and 10X hygienic liquid in recent months with no issues. Tried 10X pods recently. The scent is noxious. You can smell the clothes when worn from 5 feet away. It is overpowering. First time I have ever complained about a Tide product. Covered with a rash.

I bought this in bulk at Costco and used it for the first time today. The entire house wreaks of sweet cherry bubble gum. It's more than strong -- it's putrid. Can't tell you how much I hate the odor.... As for cleaning, well it seems okay, but not anything much different than what I get from other products.

Apparently it’s also 10X concentrated fragrance... If it’s hygienically clean, why do you need ANY fragrance? Was excited to try this for our outdoor work clothes because we love the Tide Heavy Duty liquid detergent. Had never tried any Tide Pods before, and now I’m wishing I would have tried a small package first instead of buying it at Costco. The clothes are still strongly fragrant after working outside all day, which is impressive, yet I would prefer very little fragrance to start with.

I like the idea of the hygienic clean and I do believe it got my clothes very clean. But the fragrance is in-your-face overpowering. When clothes are clean - you don't need fragrance to mask anything. And definitely NOT the "original" Tide clean smell you get in the bottle. My nose started running while I was folding my clothes it was so strong. I'd be buying a ton more of this if the fragrance was a quarter of that it is now or unscented.

I received this for free to try out in return for my honest review. I really enjoyed the pods and quite honestly made my laundry process very simple. I personally dislike the process of laundry all together, from separating clothes, to waiting for them to wash, dry and then fold. However, when I use the pods I just throw in the clothes and wait for the water to fill and then make sure my hands are dry and then throw the pod in. I have also used it the other way, so I throw in my pod while the water is filling and then throw in my clothes. I find my clothes washed better.. The only downside is if you have a small load it seems like a waste of product to use so if you do decide to purchase the pods, I would have some liquid detergent on hand also :) I repurchased the pods on my own after I used my samples up. Taking a star off because I had many small loads and the pods are all large. Thank you!
