After washing the smell is way overpowering. Will not use again

The smell is so strong it burns my sinuses. I had to rewash with different detergent Purchased at Walmart. I would not recommend this Tide product to anyone. Even if you don’t use it but are around someone who does it feels toxic. Should be recalled.

First time user of this product, i love the idea of pods for laundry, the scent is remarkable and less is more! I will be purchasing this from now on guaranteed great buy! It truly is heavy duty, especially on white clothing! Color safe too! ☺️

I will never go back to liquid detergent! Using pods is the way to go. Before these pods my son, husband & myself would mistakenly pour out too much liquid. With these pods I can use one or two to clean a big or small load. I love that they are small but pack a big punch. My cloths smell awesome & they last about a month! Only issue I have with this product is getting the top off, it’s a bit of a hassle..definitely not easy with long or short nails. Besides that, highly recommend.

Received a handmade quilt as a gift. It was washed prior to receipt. Oh! The smell! I use a plant based detergent with very little (natural) scent. I have washed the quilt once and dried it outside in the sun. It still smells! If you’re scent-sensitive this is not the detergent for you! For the record, I grew up in a house that swore by original, powdered Tide.

I've used tide products for years and never had a problem. However, we bought this kind a few days ago and washed our bedding- the next day my eyes were swollen almost shut. I thought it was seasonal allergies. The next day my eyes were swollen again and I woke up itching like crazy- got up to find my whole arms and hands swollen and Covered in hives- had some on my face neck and feet too (i had on long pants do not my legs). If you're someone that has allergies, I would not recommend switching to this. 2 stars because my boyfriend didn't have a reaction.

We tried this pod because it came as a free sample with another purchase. You should warn consumers it should not be used with an impeller-type washer because those use a lot less water. However,, it sounds like other people had the same reaction regardless of machine type I have already washed our clothes a second time and they still reek of this fragrance. Our laundry room is centrally located and the surrounding rooms also reek. We slept with all of our windows open and could still smell it. Our eyes and nasal passages are burning and we cannot wear anything from this load of clothing. How much water do I have to waste to get rid of this toxic smell? We are not complainers or dramatic people. We always take things in stride and keep things in perspective, but honestly... seriously... this scent is making us feel sick and even panicky because we can't take a breath without inhaling it. It has permeated our home and I am so angry I tried this free sample. What a lot of work, expense, and discomfort it has created for us.

I really dislike these new pods. As other reviews say, the smell is too strong! Might have to switch to a different brand and I have been using Tide my whole life.

I have been using Tide products since I was young. Switching from the powder and liquid to the pods was the best thing. Then when I saw these new pods I was excited. I couldn't wait to do a new load of laundry. Unfortunately I was disappointed in these new pods. The pods didn't break completely and and left a mess. I had to rewash that load two more times just for it wash away. Then I thought maybe the water temperature is what caused it not dissolve fully. First load was with hot water. So I tried again with another load in cold water. Same thing happened but this time I only had to rewash the clothes one more time. So I'm switching back to the small pods, where I know everything will wash correctly. But will say after the multiple washes the clothes did smell great still. But I do feel like I wasted my money some.

It washes great clothes are clean but I cannot stand the smell of the laundry when it’s done I’ll even try to cover it up and downy and is not helping

I thought this product would be the best but the pods don't dissolve completely during the wash leaving a mess on the clothes.

Too much fragrance. I have HE front load 1 year old machine and lots of suds during rinse. Eliminates odors by covering with strong fragrance. Done with this product.

They are double the size of normal pods. The smell is so strong it burns your eyes. I have rewashed my clothing 4 times. Once with vinegar and once with baking soda and still cannot get rid of the smell.

So I just bought this product and it works amazing!! The size of the pods are so big. I like it! And the smell is really nice as well. It got my clothes looking good and smelling good. I think it was worth the price for the size and amount in the package. Im in love with this and will buy it again!

For the second time I have purchased a container of pods where at least one has broken and leaked throughout the container. This, then, causes the remaining pods to stick together and, when you try to separate them, yeah,a mess!

Been using Tide pods in numerous machines and getting tired of having to treat stains rvery wash... will be switching

Love power pods for easy wash and a mess free load. Recommend throwing in the wash first to let the pod break in the water before adding laundry. Easily can add 2 if dirtier than normal. Great option and only slightly more expensive than bottled detergent

Very nice fresh scent. Removes stains even the super tough and set in ones. Easy to use since you just toss it in with your clothes no need to pour and measure and potentially create a mess. The power pods are bigger so you can do a bigger load

Our household is busy like most, and there never is enough time in a day. In addition to chaotic work schedules, we also have 2 dogs and 2 cats, and as you can imagine, pet messes such as muddy paws or accidents are a normal part of our daily routine! We’ve always used Tide laundry detergent, so when I saw these new hygienic clean power pods, I HAD to try them, although I’ll admit I was a bit skeptical that ONE power pod would do the trick for most loads, EVEN LARGE. Depending on how heavily soiled the messes are, I usually have to do a second wash to get urine odors out, so I was excited to try this! Well, I decided to give it a try on bedding that my 12 year old Jack Russell, who has a weak bladder, had wetted, and VOILA!!! PURE CLEANING MAGIC! My bedding came out of the washer smelling FRESH and stain-free! NO need for that second wash, which is a time and money saver! I still use the regular Tide pods with Oxi for my routine laundry, such as clothing, as they do a fantastic job,, but the big kahunas (super duper power pods) are saved for those muddy, stinky, heavily-soiled jobs! GOOD JOB, TIDE! These Hygienic Clean Power Pods are a game changer!

Great scent...leaves clothes smelling fresh and clean. Removed stains even the tough ones. Easy to use no more messy pouring or having to measure. A little expensive if you have a large family but definitely worth it. Recommend to those who love clean clothes.

I have been using a type of "pod" for my dishwasher soap for a while now, but had not tried the "pod" style for laundry soap until I recently tried the Tide Power PODS. These tide pods are a great at cleaning the laundry. I love the easiness of using tide pods and the fact that these have a pleasant and not overpowering scent is amazing. The clothea come out clean and smelling nice and I always get compliments and everyone asks wow what kinda of detergent you use. I love the fact that they come in a package and you can close it and reuse it when it empty and put some more in there. A definite must have for doing laundry in our household now.

I've been using Tide pods for years. I absolutely love the convenience and the mess free aspect. Tide always gets my clothes cleaner than other brands and these are no different. These pods are about equal to two regular sized Tide pods. I almost always use two anyways became my loads of laundry are always at max capacity. Having the smaller pods might give you a little more options for load size than these large pods, you can always add more but it is hard to add less. As for the value I haven't done the math to figure if it will be cheaper to use two regular pods vs. one large pod, but I think it will be about the same. Overall I LOVE using pods for laundry and won't go back to liquid.

So happy I got these large power Tide Pods. They are huge and perfect for washing larger items like queen and king size bedding sets. It makes washing so much easier because it's literally just one and done with washing. The pod might be big but it fully dissolves when washing and doesn't leave any residue on anything after washing is finished. The spring meadow scent smells of flowers but it's not an overwhelming scent and is actually pleasant and lightly lingers after drying. I will keep using these pods now that I've tried them, they are just perfect for large loads and truly get things clean and fresh.

It is easy to use. I don't have to worry about kids using too much detergent. Pods are the best way to start teaching kids to do laundry. Our clothes were cleaned well and the scent on the clothes after washing and drying were amazing. My laundry looks cleaner and fresh. I like the result of how my clothes look.

These pods are about twice as big as a normal pod, so you can use just one or two for big and really big loads without using all of your pods up at once. As a mom with 3 kids, our laundry is never ending. Using these pods, I can do more laundry at once without sacrificing the clean smell I love from Tide.

Love this, it removed some stains that had been washed and put in the dryer. Was very pleased with this product and the smell is amazing.I can actually only use Tide products without wanting to irritate my skin. But this particular pods sent is absolutely awesome and I find it lasts quite long considering. I definitely recommend this product.

The tide power pods are huge! Perfect for this mama, because with 3 little kids not only do we go through a lot of laundry, but we go through a lot of super dirty laundry!! The tide power pods provide an extra level of cleaning for all your large loads. They left my clothes smelling fresh and did a great job of getting all my stains out! Just what I expect from the tide family! The lid on the container is definitely child proof. Sometimes even I had a hard time opening it!

These tide pods are becoming my go to with my large bedsheets loads. The pod itself is a very large size, and so far has dissolved completely with no issues. I like the fresh smell it leaves ,while it also not being overly strong . The container itself contains a child lock, which can be irksome but was very easy for me to open. I feel these pods help me get my blankets and sheets clean and smelling fresh.

I have a family of 6 do laundry is nonstop around here. I love the convenience and ease of use with these pods. Tide never under estimates! The Tide Power PODS Spring Meadow is a wonderful product. The PODS are larger, perfect for larger loads. The clothes come out clean, bright and smelling fantastic! I got this a couple of weeks ago and I like it so much. The clothes came out clean and soft. Don't need to use any bleach. The fabric smells fresh. Easy to use and don't leave any residue. I love these Tide Power PODS more than I thought I would. My four year old daughter has very sensitive skin, so I have been reluctant to switch to a new detergent, however, these did not cause her any issues. The smell is great and refreshing, and it gets out stains easily.

Very convenient to use, one pod is enough even for the extra large load, which is economical. It removes stains easily, the clothing came out spotless from the wash( I always pre-soak my clothes). The fragrance is amazing, so fresh and not too strong for sensitive people like me. And I love the child-guard cover top, so there’s no way little kids open it. Ok. So I started my wash and I forgot I had it on. All the sudden I start to smell this amazing scent my entire house smelled like a clean air fresh home. I was in love lol.. the clothes cane out smelling amazing and was nice and clean. I loved that I didn’t have to put so much detergent like when using the powder or liquid alone yet it still clean my clothes with just one pod... amazing how compact it was and it wash a full medium size load...I will totally be buying this again. One last thing I loved that the packaging is baby proof haha so my 1 year old doesn’t get a hold of them...

Our family has sensitive skin (and also a 3 month old) so I was a little leery of using this since we usually just make our own laundry soap. We had no issues though! The power pods will definitely be used again in our home. My husband is a firefighter and our usual soap doesn't always get the smoke smell out of his uniform but this did with one wash! Not only does it smell great and didn't irritate our skin but the fact that I only had to wash his dirty, smoky, uniform once.. it's a win in our household!

These pods are huge compared to the regular tide pods. The original tide pods had you use 2 pods for a large load but you only need 1 of these for a large load. I would not recommend using these on an average/small load because they are so big. 1 pod gets the job done perfectly the first time.

These Tide Power Pods in Spring Meadow smell amazing! Plus I like reaching in the tub and pulling out just one large pod for larger loads instead of using multiple regular pods. Cleaning power is on point and powerful. Clothes come out clean and smelling fresh. Child safety lid is great and a must. I will definitely be buying more of these Power Pods

This was my first time trying these tide pods and wow was I impressed. They are so much easier to use than liquid detergent you dont have to worry about spills. My son had grass stains on his jeans I didn't think would come out but they did. The spring meadow scent smells great its been a few days and my sheets still smell fresh. I would recommend these to everyone.

I had never used pod laundry detergent before. They are pretty neat and I appreciate not having to guess with measurements of liquid or powder. As far as how well they work, well they are tide which is in my opinion one of the best detergents out there. So if you like tide products you'll like these. Not sure I will continue purchasing the Pods over regular liquid , but I do think these will come in handy when teaching my kids how to do their own laundry.

This spring meadow smells so good but it is not over bearing. I used one pod for a full load and my clothes came out deep clean and bright. Tide is the go to for squeaky clean clothes. Left my clothes smelling fresh.

These are extremely convenient for on the go washing. My husband is on the road a lot, and pods are extremely convenient for him to take with him, rather than dragging around a bottle of detergent that he has to worry about leaking. The only complaint I have is that 1 pod is the equivalent of 1 line on a cap, so you can go through them fairly quickly on heavily soiled loads.

The tide power pods in spring meadow is so easy to use! Not only the convenience of throwing a pod in the washer and starting it but i don’t even have to worry about all of those pre treat steps with stains. I love that these power packs are made for large loads and really do pack that powerful clean. They smell amazing and leave my clothes smelling great after washing and drying and even for days after. This was such a great idea on tides part to make them this size and they are durable. I had no issues with broken or unsealed or stuck together pods. I will definitely keep purchasing these in the future especially for my husbands work clothes that get very dirty and smelly every day. After trying these pods on his clothes for a week I won’t turn to another detergent! That’s how clean they made clothes and easy they are to use!

I have been a Tide pods user for years now, every since they came to the market. They are very convenient and work as needed. The only issue was that I often have large loads and have to use multiple pods for each load. These Tide Power Pods are twice the size of a regular pod and work better to clean my clothes! I noticed how the scent stays longer and how much cleaner my clothes are after using them. I will definitely continue to purchase these and recommend them to others!

These tide pods not only smell amazing but they are very easy to use. I’m a mother of two ( 3 if you count my husband), I work full time and still have to make time for chores and make dinner on a daily basis. So believe me when I say that I am all about convenience...and these are as simple as 1, 2, 3. One: throw a tide pod (or two in the washer) Two: throw your clothes in the washer and Three: start the washer. And you’re done! Definitely recommend

I'm totally in love with this Spring Meadow scent from Tide Pods. It Keeps my laundry smelling fresh, clean and removes stains. The pods are very easy to use in my washer. I really like that these Tide pods are large enough to was a large amount of clothing in my washer.

I won’t lie, I was very skeptical of this laundry detergent. I thought there was no way that these large tide pods would work for a large load. I usually use 2-3 regular tide pods to do my laundry, for the larger loads, but with these large tide pods, I just toss one in & the clothes come out smelling amazing! I will never go back to using regular tide pods. These make my life so much easier!

Used this to wash up blankets and towels after our dog came in caked with mud. Worked very well and the spring meadow did cut out the wet dog smell that can linger after washing. Highly recommend this new type of pod, especially if you have clay type soil that’s harder to wash clean!

I love tide pods very much! It makes our lives much easier especially with 5 kids! I make my 2 kids (15 & 8 yr old) do their own laundry and with the pods, there is no over/under use! this particular smell is one of our favorite - definitely still smells great after drying the clothes!!

These pods work great to get tough stains out. I like that they get clothes clean and clothes smell fresh. These pods dissolve completely. They are tough on stains but are still gentle on all my clothes.

I've loved these since I started using them years ago. So much simpler to use, less mess, and less chance of wasting product than from a pour-bottle. I have only ever needed 1 pod per load, even large loads, and never had an issue with items not being clean (but I have a standard washing machine, not one that has a super-massive basin)

The pods are simple to use as you only need to put one in per load! The packaging also has warnings for children. I like the fresh but not overpowering smell on the clothes after being washed! Oh my goodness! I absolutely love the smell of my clothing after using the Spring Meadow Tide pods. I also love that the container has a lid that locks; this way the kiddos can not get into the container. You must squeeze and turn the lid to get the tide pod canister open. This is a great and innovative. Tide always leaves my clothes smelling pristine and clean but this Spring Meadow scent is out of this world. On top of that, my clothes are super soft.

Tide with bleach is by Far the best detergent I have ever tried and will always use, best part is the cleaning and the fact you don’t have to measure.I do a variety of jobs . My clothes will sometimes be very smelly jobs with gross things,Sometimes to the point that I think they may be done for! Then they get washed and dried and look brand new and crisp and the smell is amazing. I highly recommend them.
