Tide Odor Rescue™ with Febreze Odor Defense™

I absolutely love this. I have a really hard time finding in stores. I’m like a few others, please don’t discontinue it.

Only product I have found that removes the funky smell of underarm sweat from clothes. Please bring it back!!

This works wonders for odors and does not irritate my sensitive skin. Please, please bring it back!

This is the only product I've found that removes smells from fabrics. I'm really disappointed that's it's been discontinued. I've recommended this to every one and they love it too! Please bring it back!!

This is the only thing that takes out pet smells. I use it all the time. Having trouble finding this product and I am almost out. I hope they haven't discontinued it. That would be a tragedy.

I’ve tried everything and I mean everything on my guys clothes these are the absolute only thing that get outs their funk …. Hard to find please please please don’t stop making.

I’ve been using this product for years and over the last several months have used this in warm water and the pod must not dissolve completely. The last 2 loads I used it it’s done this. It also never used to happen before the new packaging. It sticks to my clothes in a clump and hardens once the clothes are dry. After that happens and if the mess is on the inside of clothes, it’s hard and scratchy so can no longer wear those clothes because of how uncomfortable it is. Even if it’s on the outside it looks totally ruined and still can’t wear those clothes. I haven’t found any way to get it off my clothes either. It’s a shame. The product itself is good, but the delivery is terrible. Maybe a powder without pods would be better. Don’t let this ruin your clothes. I also put it in the drum before clothes towards the back and never overstuff it. I also use a HE washer.

I love the odor removal. We have a cat with anxiety that would pee on things. This is the only thing I ever found to completely get rid of the smell. I hate that it's in a pod pack. Like many others have complained, the pod doesn't completely dissolve in my HE machine (yes, I put it in the drum first.) If you don't notice and put stuff in the dryer, it dries in a gross lump on the clothes. I wish the exact formula could be in a liquid or powder. Also, fun fact, if you ever need to get sharpie out of clothing, try washing it in this...my daughter spent hours drawing a pattern on a sweater for a party. I washed it to try and get the sharpie smell out, and it still smelled too much, so I decided to wash it with the odor rescue. It not only took out the smell... to my daughter's dismay, it took out the hours of work she did and took every last bit of sharpie out. Can laugh about it now, but felt pretty bad at the time...

I absolutely love these little pods! But I can't find them anymore!! Please don't stop making them! They are the only thing that works on the sweat smell for my family. Awesome product, wish I could buy more!

Makes a big difference in my husbands gym clothes. They tend to smell terribly and no matter what the smell doesn’t come out unless I add this in!

when you work out hard and the clothes feels it too, add this boost into your laundry when washing. It removes all signs of that in crazy workout you did! These are terrific for work-out clothes, pet bedding, towels or anything that needs a little extra. They don't "mask" the smell, they remove the smell. The pods are worth it. They are hard to find and I've been worried that they will be discontinued for lack of sales. I've been stocking up as these are the BEST thing I've found to remove odor.

This really works well takes out bad odor. When I found these I buy 2-3 at a time. I be love the price.

This stuff works amazing but I would not use sent boosters with it. It takes away all smell. Works amazing one sport close. Or work clothes that have a crazy smell to them. But take away the good smell from the boosters. 

I put 2 to 3 of them when I wash my clothes and it works wonderful and it leaves my clothes smelling really good.

Pods don't fully dissolve, regardless of water temperature. Plastic sticks to clothing, which requires soaking to remove. Did not have this problem before "New Look." I will not buy again.

For every wash I use one of these in, I have to rewash one pice of clothing. The pod does not dissolve entirely and then gets thrown into the dryer. I then find it stuck to a piece of clothing all gooey. Will not buy again. I’ll find something else.

I am so glad I tried the odor rescue pods! These are the only thing that will take out armpit smells out of our gym clothes and my husband's work shirts! Also, having an elderly dog who had a lot of accidents these were lifesavers at getting the urine smell out!

I have been using these for awhile. The issue I have is that they don't always dissolve and I have to rewash clothes and sheets. Not very economical when I have to run washing machine and dryer again.

If really committed to providing the best performance and optimizing customer experience, please stop making excuses, listen to your loyal customers & bring back the excellent old boost formula!

Works great! clothes smell great, BUT the coating doesn't dissolve. Every load I have one thing that the coating sticks to (and yes, I put it in first and don’t overload the washer) too messy.

The outside casing doesn't dissolve and leaves a mess on clothing. I had to re-wash some items

The plastic surrounding the pod does not dissolve completely and when transferred to the dryer glues material together. It took three tries to identify what was happening.

the og formula w/the orange swirl were the best! clothes had never been cleaner. got rid of any stink! new white powder only have no smell, they do nothing special, not worth the $. BRING BACK THE OG!

The old formula with the orange swirl was great. The white powder only formula doesn’t work at all. I will be switching products unless the old formula returns.

I agree with Nita. This product with the white powder is not the same as the one with the swirl for the clothes of my family of runners in eliminating odors

The Odor Defense with the orange swirl left my workout clothes smelling fresh. The new pod with just white power does NOTHING to remove odor. PLEASE bring the orange/white pod back!

I have noticed there is a sticky glob sometimes. But I just rub the clothing under water and get the goop off. Regardless I love this product!! It's an answer to our hard water issue.

Bring back the old version! New version does not dissolve. I put it in the drum before adding the clothes as directed even add time to the wash cycle and still end up with a sticky goo on my clothes.

We've used these for 1-2 years. They used to work great to eliminate odor. However, the orange swirl that was in the pod has disappeared and no longer dissolve in the washer (i put them in the drum).

I have used this to eliminate urine smells on pet beds, fabrics. Best odor eliminator for laundry I've found.

The pods don't dissolve all the way. These pods never did that before. I will no longer buy this product.

USE TO WORK GREAT, BUT SOMETHING HAS CHANGED BRING BACK THE OLD FORMULA DOES NOT HAVE THAT CLEAN SMELL

Old combo packs worked even on terrible wild animal urine & dog shelter bedding. New powder-only packs don't even remove musty odor from gym clothing, let alone touch what we used them for previously.

Really, what was the point of changing something that worked to something that does not work? The packs barely have a scent and washed clothes did not have a clean scent either.

Please bring back old ones- the new ones absolutely do not work and are not very fragrant at all compared to the old ones

picked these up to try on my teen son’s laundry and some older towels. They work! 9 pods at $5 was not an ideal price so only used on those stinky loads...almost .50 each

I have had a couple times that the pods don’t dissolve and are stuck in my clothes. Very disappointing! This has only happened with the new powder only. Not sure if I will buy them again.

The new pods have no scent to them at all. I am very disappointed with the "new look" boost pods. These still remove odors, but they do not leave the scent that my family has grown to love.

The old formula was amazing at tackling TOUGH odors from dog shelter bedding to wild animal urine/musk from a wildlife center. The new formula can't even effectively tackle my boyfriend's gym clothes.

Now I have to try to get the Tide Odor "Rescue" smell out. Please sell a product to remove fragrance left in clothing from your laundry products. Many of us get headaches from these fragrances.

I was a big fan of Tide Stain Release Booster. When it was discontinued, I tried the rescue series. I was very dissapointed. It smelled horrible and did not work as indicated.

I loved Tide Boost Free pods. They actually worked on stains. BUT these don't remove any stains & they stink. Not worth the money!

I used this product on my new comforter and it stuck to it. When i got it off there was a big hole in it.

This product helped me get the old, damp and musty smell out of clothing stored in an old unheated garage, something no ordinary laundry soap can do! Thank you, Tide!

Love this product, won't be without it . I was ready to give the boot to most of my towels until I found Tide Rescue. It has taken any kind of ordor out of the towels and saved them .

They dissolve really well and they don't leave a plastic residue as I have had with some pods. They do remove odors but I found that I am not fond of the smell they have (reason for 4 star). Especially when you live in a home before small children and a mechanic for a husband. Between outside Stains,food stains, grease and oil I could most definitely use a boost of extra clean in my laundry. I love that it's available as a pod and I can toss it right in with a regular tide pod detergent as well for an extra clean load of laundry. How could this possibly make my laundry smell good when it smells so bad itself? The simple answer is that it doesn't. I will stick to my current fragrance beads that are much less expensive and make the laundry smell GOOD, as opposed to these. These make the laundry smell like some kind of chemical.

With 4 kids, 2 dogs, and a husband who loves to work on cars, motorcycles, 4 wheelers, and anything else with a motor, I often have laundry that needs rescued! I have tried so many different products over the years and found some good ones, some alright ones, and some that I swear didn't make any difference at all. I usually need a booster of some sort. Especially during street hockey and soccer season. I really love these little packs and how easy it is to just drop them in the washer. I would be concerned of course, if there are small children around, however, they should be kept in a place where children and pets wouldn't be able to grab them. Personally, I prefer the packs over liquid. The scent is lively, fresh, clean, everything you would expect from Tide! (and Febreze!) Actually, the scent fills my laundry room after I open the lid and it is fairly long lasting. I can smell the scent on my blankets and towels for a few days afterwards, (It may last longer depending on how you store your clothing and linens.) We store ours in a couple of closets and a shelf in the laundry room. Tide Odor Rescue Laundry Booster has been helping me with a lot of the kid's laundry, sports uniforms, socks, bath towels, beach towels, and some of the blankets that my kids take outside and like to wrap around wet dogs. The only time I really didn't notice much of an improvement was with a fleece blanket that was wrapped around our dog after she was outside in the rain. I did use Tide Odor Rescue a few times for that blanket and a few other items from that day but, I had to try a 4th time and also added in wash odor defense beads. (This is a suggestion on the package.) That did work well and I can't honestly tell you whether it was due to the addition of beads or if it just needed 4 washes. Either way, it worked. These are safe to use with liquid and powder detergents and again, even with any in wash beads. I am not sure on scent options because I have only tried and purchased the type that I received a sample for. Also important to note: Please place the Odor Rescue pack to the drum before you add your clothing, linens, whatever you are washing. These do dissolve nicely and just as perfect as Tide detergent packs, but, I gave some samples out to friends and they didn't get the same results as I did. After discussing it further, they mentioned they just threw these on top, after putting their laundry in. It seems it does make a difference, just as it does with regular detergent packs!

At first I can get with the idea of getting rid of odors "at the source" and to do that you need to really get to the source of the smell and remove the stain. But I don't understand why it's necessary to add Febreze to "unlock freshness". Adding a product just seems like you're trying to cover up the odor. And the smell of this is just awful. My husband noticed immediately when I opened the package and he welcomed the smell with a "what is THAT!". The kids didn't like it at all either. This just isn't a product that I will use again.

And it's as easy as tossing a pod into the wash. No measuring or guessing how much to use, all you need is one pod. I Think it would be more convenient to have a laundry detergent and booster in the same Tide pack. After I washed my clothes with the laundry booster, I thought the smell was strange, like a dirt-like or earthy smell. After drying, I did not notice any odors, but they dis not smell freshly washed eithe; the clothes smelled bland, really like nothing. I then tried the next load with the laundry booster and a dryer sheet to dry, and it was much better. I don't think this product can do anything that regular Tide packs couldn't do. I really love tide prodcuts, but was dissapointed with this one.

I tried it on three different types of odors: kitchen towels, athletic apparel, and soiled kid's bedding. It worked well in all three cases. With the towels and bedding it got rid of the smell after the first washing and with the athletic apparel it didn't remove the smell entirely after one use, but it did lessen it greatly, and hopefully it will continue to do so in subsequent uses. This product works better than any DYI options I've tried in the past and I will keep some on hand to help manage my laundry odors. I received a free sample from Crowdtap to try and review. Know that from the beginning It is a BOOSTER to add to your laundry, so you are still using detergent and fabric softener. However it is simple to use; you just add it to the laundry along with detergent and fabric softener. The BOOSTER pods are strong-- I don't really smell Febreeze, but cayenne pepper. It does not smell great. To first try this, I used the BOOSTER on my boyfriend's work clothes-- he is a garbage man. After taking the clothes out of both the washer and dryer, I noticed the removal of his work odor. Every part of his clothes smelled like the pods only. The strong odor of the pods initially went away. He did not even notice. If this worked on his garbage-filled smelling clothes, I'm confident it can work on anything!

However, I do not like the fact that detergent is not included and must be added separately. This is costly for my family because it is an added expense. Why not combine a cleaning pod and odor rescue pod in one?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Odor Rescue is a product I had never tried before, but was interested in using because I have a husband with very stinky clothes, a potty training toddler, and house with two dogs and a cat. I am no stranger to stinky laundry. It seems to help my husbands work clothes smell better and no problems with mine or my daughter's clothes. I did try washing a blanket that my dogs like to lay on, which is very stinky, and did not have any luck with it, but I will try it again. I don't know that I would spend the extra money on it for every wash, but maybe for the certain loads( my husbands clothes). It was fun to try it out, but I still have some stinky laundry that is just too tuff to handle.

This actually worked really well though. The items I washed (baby clothes, husbands field uniform, brand new clothes with that wretched chemical dye smell) almost all came out smelling clean for once, all except the chemical dye smell but I can understand that. Let me add this does not make your clothes smell like anything other than just fresh and clean, no flowers/rainbows/unicorns, so I know the offensive odors won't return in a couple days. Clothes have been saved to get stunk up another day, and another and another!

However, the specific results surprised me (in a good way). I was expecting the pod to give my towels a strong, lovely scent, because the pod itself smells really intense. When I smelled my towels after I washed and dried them, I was disappointed to not smell any scent at all, so I thought the pod didn't work. However, when I put the towels right up to my nose, I noticed that there was absolutely no odor on them, and they smelled so pure and clean. Amazing! Most products mask odors by overpowering them with a stronger, more pleasing scent, but this product completely removes all odors without leaving its own scent behind. I personally have never experienced another product like it. The lack of scent may be a drawback for some people, but I actually like it. My towels smell so pure and clean now. I will definitely continue using this and I would recommend it to everyone!

I have been looking for this rescue for a really long time and I have never been able to find anything like it. I am a pretty heavy gym goer. I attend the gym at least five days a week, not including days that I spend hiking and exploring. Living in Arizona, you tend to sweat a lot! I have found that my gym clothes have this permanent odor to them. You cannot smell it right after washing them, but once you start to sweat a little in them, that awful "gym" scent comes back. I have never been able to find anything that rids this problem, but Tide Odor Rescue™ Laundry Booster gets the job done! My clothes smell wonderful after the wash and even after wearing them and sweating a little in them. I definitely recommend this product. It is totally worth it!

I washed the dogs blanket, the dogs big stuffed dog toy, and the hubbys machine shop work clothes. The dog blanket never takes long to become stinky, like maybe a day even if they have just been washed. I would say these took about 50% of the bad odor that lingers from it. Maybe with more washings we can get to 100% but I only have washed twice so far. The dogs "toy" is a stuffed dog that is as big as they are(medium to large sized dogs) and gets slept on a lot. Not usually as stinky as the blanket and I would say about 80% of the scent came out of it! Now my husbands work clothes have a machine, oil, dirt, and sweat smell to them. I didn't really notice much a difference even with the pacs. However nothing has been able to ever fully take the bad odors out so I really didn't expect these to be able to do it either. I would use these again however even if just on the dogs blanket because it did seem to stay less smelly longer! lol

The first thing I noticed about the Tide Odor Recuse is the powerful smell it had when I opened the package. The pods have both a liquid and a powder combination. It's not a detergent. So you still have to add that. It's more of a booster product. It can be used in all washer types. It worked well on my musty towels and my husbands smelly clothes from working outside all day so that's saying a lot. Overall I enjoyed the product and would recommend it to friends.

I used these both by themselves, and in conjunction with other odor reducers. When I used them by themselves I was not thrilled with the smell. It is just not something ejoyable. It will mellow if you use it in conjunction with other products. That said, it definitely stays around a while and works in that sense.

They smell when you open the bag is just so fragrant, you can tell right away it's going to make your cloths smell soooo fresh! Easy to use, all you have to do is add the in-wash laundry booster into the laundry machine with the detergent and when the load is done smells are gone. The laundry booster does not add fragrance to the clothes it simply removes odors. This works great for towels that have been in the hamper for several days too. I would recommend this product for removing underarm smells too. Works great and easy to use on smelly clothes and linen.

Although I don't care for the scent of the pod itself, it gets the odor right out. The scent is very strong when you get the clothes out of the washer, but it it becomes milder when you pull them out of the dryer. I can use it for smelly towels, sweaty workout clothes, and anything else that might need an odor boost.
