Tide Mountain Spring Liquid Laundry Detergent

First you change the formula of Tide Original and it now smells horrible. Then you tell me to buy Mountain Spring because the scent is similar. And now you discontinue Mountain Spring!! Why? People with sensory issues can not deal with these changes! What am I suppose to buy now?!

This scent, the Mountain Spring is the only detergent that I can use. All the other scents have such a strong scent it makes it smell like a whole bottle of perfume has been added in. I can’t use the other scents because they’re so overpowering, as I have a condition that will bring on a headache at strong scents. I prefer a small bit of scent, but all the Tide available is just too strong. Please bring back Mountain Spring Liquid.

Where did Tide Mountain Spring go?? It is my ONLY detergent I use, and now I can’t find it anywhere. I had to switch to the HE version, and now I can’t even find that. Makes no sense. Come on Tide, read your customers. PLEASE BRING IT BACK!

Original scent of Mountain Spring is the only detergent I have used since I can even remember. And now it is nowhere to be found. I am devastated. I have never once had a problematic reaction to that scent and now every single other scent I have tried replacing it with (including several Tide scents) literally gives me a headache. I am so upset. I can't even do laundry now without feeling ill. This is awful. Please please please I am begging you please bring back the original Mountain Spring scent. Not a "new and improved" version, but the original. I will throw so much money at you for it. I am desperate. If only I had know it was going away I would have stockpiled all I could find. Maybe this sounds dramatic but you cannot imagine how frustrating it is to deal with this. Even unscented detergents smell bad to me. Please, Tide, help!

I completely agree with the other review. I LOVED the Original Tide scent. My clothes smelled so fresh and clean. I actually, had comments about how they smelled so good. Then I was told you changed that scent to the Mountain Spring - very odd thing to do! I can't find the Mountain Spring anymore. Where can I get it? PLEASE bring back the Original Tide in the Original scent!!!!!!! My family and I have been loyal customers for decades. Please listen to us.

I have loved this product for years, when original Tide scent was changed was advised by Tide rep that the old was now the Mountain Spring. Odd thing to do. I have been using Mountain spring since then and have gone down so many avenues trying to locate this product. Per advice of Tide rep told it was not discontinued and to ask local managers of store etc to order which I did was told the Mountain Spring Liquid was unavailable to order.Every online site was listed as out of stock. I would love to know which states in the US are carrying it? Tide should realize with numerous reviews a lot of people can not use OXI or Fabreeze containing products my family included.

For over 25 years I used the original sent tide liquid. Then you changed it and it gave me a headache. I called your customer service and they said Mountain Spring was the closest to the old original sent. I tried it and really liked it and had been buying it for the last seven or eight years. Now I cannot find it even though I just talked to customer service today and they said it is still being made. However, in reading the other recent reviews, it appears you have changed the Mountain spring sent also. I tried the powdered Mountain spring laundry detergent and all I could smell was chemicals. I have had a special order placed, four months ago, with our local Kroger store, however, if they ever receive it, and it is some type of new Mountain Spring sent, I will not accept it. I have auto immune issues, which makes any chemical smell difficult to tolerate. I’ve been a Tide user for over 50 years, but you are forcing me to say goodbye. By the way, I did see where I can order some online from a couple different different sources,, but they want $30 for 92 fluid ounces and charge half that amount for the other scents. And if it is not the original Mountain spring scent, I don’t want it and frankly cannot afford to pay twice the price. In this instance,, newer is definitely not better.

When you all changed this scent, I actually E-Mailed Tide and gave my opinion in hopes it would matter for them to relook at this change. The new Mountain Spring Scent litterally stinks!! I noticed on all the reviews here there are many wanting the old Mountain Spring Scent back and these people have been loyal to Tide for many years like myself. What a shame!! I no longer use Tide the ONLY way I would go back is if the old scent of Mountain Spring Tide were to come back but NOT until!!

This product is the best your clothes are the cleanest they smell the fresh nothing beats Tide

I’ve used Mountain Spring for many years and loved it. I would buy 6 at a time to keep plenty on hand. I am so disappointed that the Tide company chose to discontinue this product. What is so amazing to me is that they think this marketing change to keep their products current and modern is the very thinking that looses long time customers. I’ve tried the replacement and its fragrance is so bad I will not be buying anymore of your product. You’ve kicked all your long time customers to the ground in hopes of catching the younger generation…good luck with that…they all want the laundry strips with no plastic bottle. Please reconsider this bad move and honor your long time loyal customers who have kept you in business…such a shame.

I used to work in Europe and Asia for the federal government. for many many years. While there, I had no trouble finding the Mountain Spring liquid tide at the local commissary.. I was happy with that product. Never changed it. Now I am back in the US and my efforts to find it have failed. Like the other people said, There is nowhere to be found. The world is constantly changing (technology, medicine, transportation and so on.) We are all trying to cope with these inevitable changes. And then we have the everyday pleasures in life that makes things better. Like clean nice fresh smell when you do your laundry. the smell you have been use to and like. And you go and change it- discontinue-stop delivering or what ever. There is number of us who wrote and asked you to bring it back. So, what are you going to do about it? By the way, out of desperation I bought your 'febreze' hate it! It smells like celery. I gave it away to a neighbour. Thank you for taking the time to read my message. Try not yo give me lame explanations like you did with some of the other dissatisfied people. Just give us solutions, and suggestions of where we can find Mountain Spring liquid tide. Thank you.

Mountain Spring Tide is my favorite and I wish it would come back into stores! I used it for years and had no reason to change and then all of the tutti fruity scents became popular. Now I can’t find it and I don’t want my clothes smelling like bubble gum. Please bring it back!

Years ago Tide changed the original scent which I really liked. When I called I was told they renamed it Mountain Spring. I switched to Mountain Spring and was extremely happy with it for years. In the middle of 2022 I was beginning to have a hard time finding it. I bought up what I could find thinking they were discontinuing it. I called and was told they did not discontinue it and gave me a few stores that they had listed that sold it. I went to said stores and they did not have it. I like many others cannot find it within a 100 mile radius. Several people have stated that Mountain Spring scent has changed again. Is this true? When creating a new scent why would you name it the same? All that does is cause confusion and from confusion comes frustration and then anger. That's when you will lose customers. Tide has great products so I would really like to be able to continue buying Tide Laundry detergent with the Mountain Spring scent that was available in 2021. It's a great clean scent that isn't overwhelming unlike Tide original that gives me an instant headache. Please consider making it more available.

I was very disappointed in this bottle it leaked all over the floor and by the time I noticed it is it had a small hole in the side like it was cut I tried to take it back to the store to exchange and they wouldn’t do it the blamed it on me which was not the case so I willbnot be buying this product from Walmart again what are you going to do about it it looked like it wa cut by a doc cutter

Please keep basic formula with Mountain Spring scent. I have sensitive skin and love the mild fresh scent of Mountain Spring. The other formulas with Oxi and 4 in 1 and febreeeze and on and on make my family’s skin break out. But we all like a fresh scent that isn’t over bearing like the original scent and all the others. Please keep Mountain spring in the stores. It’s really hard to find.

WHY?????!!!!!! did you stop making this scent? I see by your reviews that I am not alone in this. Please bring it back!!!! You have the "recipe" - formula! It has been the only scent Tide I have ever used since it was first introduced. I used it along with Mountain Spring Downy. I would recommend this if it were available. BRING IT BACK!!!!!! My rating is a 1-star since I can't find Mountain Spring. It's a 5-star product. Several years ago you switched the original scent to Mountain Spring. I hate what you now call the Original Scent (and you really shouldn't do that since it ISN'T the original scent). And now I can't found the Mountain Spring scent anywhere. I'm going to have to go to another brand (and I've been a loyal Tide user for 40 plus years) if I can't find this soon. Since you are able to make an apparently unlimited number of Tide options, I don't know why you can't continue this one. If the sales are 'low' for it, it's probably because it hasn't been readily available to purchase since you switched it over. I've had to search for it for the past 2 years because so many stores don't carry it.

This has been my “go to” Tide scent since they changed the “original” scent a couple of years ago to that horrible, overpowering perfume masquerading as a detergent. Even though I was assured by a Tide representative a few months ago (via email) that the Mountain Spring Tide Liquid wasn’t being discontinued, and it is still listed here on their website as a current product, I cannot find it anywhere, local or online. I’ve written. I’ve called. I’ve left reviews. It’s obvious Tide doesn’t care about its customers. After 30 years, I’m finished with this brand.

I do not like anything with Fabric softener in the wash. I add it in the rinse cycle. I want to know why I can not find Tide with Mountain Spring.

Tide always makes a great product, however, the smell of the Mountain Spring formula after they made a change to it smells horrible.

This is the only detergent/scent combination that doesn’t break my husband’s skin out with an allergic reaction and keeps him still smelling good after sweating. Big fan!

Another scent change, again. I have used Mountain Spring for years, but now smells like cheap perfume. Have switched brands permanently.

The new formula smells TERRIBLE and is not cleaning as well. I'm a life long Tide user but with your constant changes to formula and scent I no longer trust you.

Loved the original formula/scent but tide changed It so I switched to Mountain Spring. Now they've changed that! The new formula makes clothes stink like mildew and it doesn't clean as well. HORRIBLE!

I've used Tide Mountain Spring for many years. New scent is awful. Freshly washed laundry now smells exactly like it has been mildewing in the washer for days. Will have to dump it out.

We have been using MountainSpring for 20 years.recently after purchasing this,the smell is horrendous!I now need to look for an alternative,because it smells so bad.It smells like febreeze&cheap soap!

Mountain spring was the old original scent but it changed too! Smells like rotten melon and rancid cologne. Yuck

I guess I will have to change brands. Tide Mountain Spring used to smell great, like Original Tide. Now it smells like fruit! Yuck. I do not want clean clothes that smell like fruit.

I have a front loader so I have to buy the HE tide and I would love to see it available in all of the same scents as the regular. I would have definitely gave 5 stars if the HE was available in the mountain spring scent. Also I agree that you need to change the bottles so we can tell the difference between HE and regular because I myself have grabbed the regular and didn't realize my mistake until already using it.
