How it works:
Like regular Tide, Ultra Tide Plus A Touch of Downy contains surfactants. Surfactant molecules have two parts. One is "water loving" and the other is "water hating." The water-loving (hydrophilic) part breaks the surface tension of water. The water-hating (hydrophobic) part is attracted to oil and grease in soils, loosening and removing them from fabrics. Ultra Tide Plus A Touch of Downy is also formulated with special ingredients that provide softening benefits throughout the wash.

Tide Plus a Touch of Downy Powder Laundry Detergent is seriously one of the last detergents like it on the market. It combines powerful cleaning, oxygen bleach whitening, and fabric softener all in one powder, which makes laundry so much easier and more affordable. It works amazingly well in older deep-fill top-loading washers and hard water, where powders honestly still clean better than a lot of liquids and pods. Most other detergents now require buying separate boosters, whiteners, or softeners, which adds extra cost and extra stuff to carry around. Please don’t discontinue this product and please expand availability because there are still a lot of us who specifically look for a detergent like this.

Please keep restocking
Over the months of using this product my sweaters and blankets have kept their softness. My laundry routine has been simplified because I can skip fabric softener. I never want to go back!

KEEP THIS PRODUCT ON THE MARKET
My apartment complex has a commercial top loader w/out a dispenser. We have hard water in this county so powder detergent is a must. The softeners and brighteners in this product allow laundry to be 1 step because it has everything I need. And there's seldomly been a stain it can't remove.
