Tide PODS® Laundry Detergent Original Scent

I tried it for the first time. It did not fully dissolve and plugged the front drain in my washer. I peeled it off and I'm running a cycle without soap. I should have put on a supper glove because I now can't get the smell off my fingers. Washed my hands twice and have tried Purelle. Still smells strong. I will never again use this crap.

For the second time, I have counted my PODs in my 42 pack only to find 27 inside. Last time, it was 25 and I figured it was temporary factory glitch. I am now convinced this is intentional consumer price gouging and false product advertising. I am beyond disappointed and will no longer use your product.

I have had it up to here with tide changing the scent of their products while keeping the same label. I have a lot of sensory with smells and I’ve used the tide original pods for years and loved them. They recently added “cold water clean” to the label, but no change to scent. And then with this latest batch- same labeling- they smell completely different. Somehow both more floral and acidic? It’s terrible. I’m using mountain spring powder for now but I am upset. They have done this so many times over the years and it’s beyond frustrating.

I have been using tide original powder for 30 years been very satisfied until I decided to switch to pods original thinking is the same light fresh smell product but that was not the case, too much perfume that smells like flowers or some bathroom spray… terrible mistake by tide you have ruined your wonderful brand ..

I am visiting my son in Virginia and helping with the laundry. I have been to multiple grocery and Target Stores in search of the basic TIDE with OXI to no avail. The chemical scent that comes with all of the new and improved TIDE is offensive and unbearable to my family and me. I can smell it when I walk down the street and pass a home in which the family is doing the laundry. It smells toxic to me. Please continue to provide the basic TIDE with OXI it works great to clean and remove stains and has a light non offensive fragrance, non chemical. I had to purchase a different brand due to unavailability of my preferred basic TIDE with OXI. I have used TIDE products exclusively for 40 plus years. occasionally trying a new and improved version but have always returned to my favorite TIDE. Please let me know where I might be able to find the basic TIDE with OXI, thank you for listening

I have used pods since I received my front load machines. My clothes come out clean and smell so good! I’ve tried off beat brands and they do not hold up to Tide Pods.

Come on Tide! Please stop changing your product! The product smells like a cheap knock off and it’s causing me and my kids to break out in rashes! Do better and stop changing the product for the worst! Might be time to change to persil.

Its clear from all of the reviews out there that its a big thumbs down on the scent change. Its like wearing a bottle of perfume. I just bought my first container of pods since the scent change and it is going straight back to the store. Already had to re-wash several loads with a different brand. After all these years of using Original Tide faithfully, I guess we are breaking up. PLEASE change the scent back. Seriously. Why did you think you needed to mess with it? #leaveitalone

I have used tide Original Pods for years and just recently the smell has changed. I’m not one to leave a review, but I can’t handle the smell now. I loved it and wish they would go back to the original smell. Am I the only one who noticed a change in smell?

But not anymore. I’ve been using the pods and it is definitely convenient however I’ve had nothing but trouble with them. The first order of them were stuck together, so I ordered more and they were fine for a short time and then all stuck together again. I tried once more and they too stuck together. Package says keep them away from moisture, easy to say but hard to do after all it’sa laundry room. I’m done. You pry them apart and they go off making a heck of a mess. To me they are a pain in the backside.

These always smelled fresh and clean and now they do not. Laundry came out smelling like it hadn’t even been washed. Used them in both cold and warm water with the same result. They will not make your laundry smell good at all.

As usual Tide has done it again! I've always enjoyed their original scent and was excited to try these! No disappointment at all! Actually exceeded my smell test! Also cleaned very well even some stains are gone! These PODS are so easy to use and am glad to see Tide making them! Highly recommended!

You have to wash clothes again because the plastic pad gets stuck to cloth ☹️. It’s disappointing and a waste of time.

You don't have to worry about spills or measuring detergent. Just pop one of these into the washer, your clothes come out clean and smelling fresh. Very convenient and economical. Definitely recommend!

Tide Oxy pods did Not clean my dishes!! I had to re wash many dishes after running a hit full cycle. A poor product I’m surprised for Tide!! I will never buy it again.

As a empty nester, I find that I need a smaller size for small loads or just to freshener up some things! I bought towels and wanted to wash them before putting in linen closet and felt that a small load with limited water, 1 pod was too much! So I borrowed some liquid tide from my sister ! Any other suggestions??

I love my tide pods as a college student...they are so easy to transport if you need to carry loads to other floors/rooms. I love tide pods for their convenience, but also for how effective they are! They smells great, clean my clothes well, and are affordable

I am so happy that I tried the Tide PODS Laundry Detergent- Original Scent. My clothes have never smelled so fresh, and they got really clean. I use a commercial multi load washing machine so I put 2 pods instead of just the 1. My T shirts and other clothes got so very clean. I am very impressed with this product and will definitely use again.

I was concerned about the price point but changed my mind after I finished my first container. I found I was using more product than I needed. Discovered this by how clean and fresh my laundry was after my first load. And only used ONE POD! My husband is an avid gardener and when I washed his work clothes they were actually clean! No additional stain remover was used. Even took out the older stains. Thank you Tide! You actually save me money, time and piece of mind.

Tide has always been a great product in my opinion and these pods continue to live up to the tide reputation. I love the convenience of a pre-measured pod that I can toss into the wash without having to worry about measuring out multiple products. My clothes come out clean, and they smell fresh which is what I'm looking for in a laundry detergent.

I love using these tide pods.. They are way easier amd more convenient. They rem8ves stains and smell amazing.. I use two for a large bulky load amd 1 for a normap load. I have a smart washer and 8t is able to use these..

I received the Tide Pods laundry detergent as a product review. I love the way tide pods smell. I was worried about using it when washing my boys clothes as we usually only use one type of detergent but they didn't have any reactions.

I like that these laundry pods are easy to use and dissolve with no problem even when using cold water. They work well and leave laundry clean and smelling fresh. I also like that they are mess free just grab and go.

If you are looking for the most efficient way to do your laundry without giving up on Tide quality I would say this is a must have. It does cost a little more but its really as easy as grabbing a pod and throwing it in!

I was extremely happy with my Tide Pods I received. It's so much easier using a pod versus measuring a liquid or powder. Tide has been my favorite for many years and Tide Pods did not disappoint. I like the convenience and ease of these tide pods. They also seem to be cleaning my laundry just as good as the liquid option of laundry detergent. I might try a scented version next time because I enjoy a little fragrance in my loads of laundry.

Ok, so I’m all about cold water washing, and that is what temperature I usually use in my wash for normal, every day laundry. EXCEPT for whites or heavy stains…then, I always use hot water. Well, my son dropped a whole cup of bright orange drink on my pristine white comforter. I decided to go against my better judgment and try the cold water pods….holy moly it ALL came out!!! My duvet is perfectly white again! Yep, I’m a convert! Good job Tide!

I will honestly say that I'm not sure how well it actually cleans the clothes and takes out stains, as most of the clothes I wash are not stained and if they are, I use a stain remover prior. I've been a little hesitant to try tide pods just Being used to using liquid detergent and wondering if that little pod really is going to be enough to get my clothes clean. I have swithced back and forth to and from pods. When teaching kids to wash, I think this has been a great way to do it as it is the pre-determined amount while having the strength of Tide I need for my clothing. The pods are easy and conviene to use, I like that Tide has the list of ingredients with their description and purpose online so you know what you’re putting on your garments. However I could do without the vibrant colorings. As a personal preference I’d like to see a natural, dye free pod and options for scents duro es from natural sources like essential oils. I always feel weird throwing something BRIGHT blue and green in my whites or light colored clothes. I know it won’t stain but still is an unnecessary additive in my opinion. More variety of light scent would be great!

Love TIDE! The pods are so easy to use. Just toss in however many you need depending on your load size and that's it. So much easier to use than having to scoop powder. Also takes up less space in the laundry room.

My latest product to review is the Tide PODS Laundry Detergent Original Scent. Tide has always been the best detergent for our family because it is the most effective fighting tough stains such as grass and food stains. We also like the lingering fresh fragrance of Tide in our clothing even days after the laundry has been done. The pods clean well in cold water too. Each pod contains detergent, a stain remover and a color protector. Toss a pod or two (depending on the size amounts of laundry that needs to be done) into the washing machine drum, add laundry and turn on machine. There is no need to measure detergent anymore. I received a 14 ounce bag containing 16 pods of Tide PODS Laundry Detergent to sample and to write my review. In my opinion, Tide has always been the best laundry detergent on the market.

The Tide pod 3 in 1 Cold water clean is detergent, stain remover and color protector all in one. Designed for use in cold water for tough laundry, it works just like it says it will! Love this product that cleans my work clothes without the added energy use of hot water.

If you are a mom/dad with teenage boys, I recommend these. The Tide Pod are the best when teaching my boys to wash their own clothes. The scent is important too. They will not use anything floral or “girly” smells. This scent is more like clean rain smell. The Tide Pod does a nice job with stains and teenage boy smells in clothes and athletic/gym wear which is a must. You will save $$$$ by buying pods if your children wash clothes. If I buy fabric softener and liquid detergent, it is either used wrong (fabric softer for the detergent) or fill the containers for liquid to the top when there is just a small load. They also dissolve well in my front loading washer. There is nothing worse than drying clothes to find a non-dissolved laundry glued now to your clothes. Trust me, that is a nightmare. Again, this is a win-win for everyone especially if you have kids who you are training to take care of themselves! Throw one in and press wash.

These pods are so convenient, just pop em in your washer with your clothes ,& let them do their magic. Your clothes come out smelling great! It gets rid of most stains as well. Would definitely recommend & will be buying more in the future

I'm not usually a fan of laundry pods. I feel like they don't always 'bust' open soon enough dueing the laundry cycle. Sometimes I find myself busting them open as the washer is filling up just to be sure. These pods seemed to open at the right time because my laundry smelled really fresh at the end of the cycle. The Tide scent lasts all day. I will continue to use this product especially when traveling or at our seasonal campsite.

I am a pretty firm believer and buyer in tide. It is also one of my all time favorite soaps.... I'm sort of wishing there was dish soap that was tide-scented. Because I would definitely buy it. But I do definitely recommend this.

First off, it smells much better than the cheap stuff where most of the scent is in the bottle. Also no issues with skin irritation so that's a definite plus! Best of all, its easy to use and the fresh scent lasts for several days!

After trying different detergents we had finally narrowed down to using Tide detergent only for last 15 years. Love the smell of the detergent and clothes always come out clean. So decided to try Tide Pods and absolutely love it. I use it in HE washing machine and the film that holds the liquids completely dissolves in cold water. Depending upon the load, you may have to use 1 or 2 pods but this is very convenient.

I used these Tide Pods in place of my regular detergent, and couldn't be happier. The pods offer superior cleaning for both whites and darks, while smelling great. Tide Pods is my new detergent and I couldn't be happier!

I got this about a week ago and it's just like using the liquid laundry detergent with all the mess . The tide pods still clean your laundry the same way the liquid tide does. The tide pods still smell like the liquid as well and get your clothing just as clean .

I am used to a powder, unscented detergent, but wanted to try Tide Pods for their convenience. My colored and dark clothes came out clean with a pleasant light scent. I even washed my gardening gloves! The real test though, was whites. I was surprised to find they also came out bright and clean. That you just toss in the correct number of pods before adding the clothes makes it so easy, no measuring, no mess.

I use Original Tide liquid on a daily basis. We went on vacation and I decide to take Tide Pods with us to save room on the travel. They were an excellent choice because of an excellent performance I expect from Tide but without the bulk! One pod was plenty for the machine at the beach condo but if I were to use at home, I feel like I would need more because of the size of my washer. All in all, great product!

These smell amazing!!! I absolutely love the smell of fresh clean clothes and I have been buying Unstoppables for years to try and boost that clean clothes smell into my laundry and even then, it was only a little with the Unstoppables. We recently went on a skiing trip and for the ease of using something in a rented condo, I bought a small pack of these same Tide Pods. After every load of laundry, we all just smelled so nice and that freshness lasted too!! I originally was just going to leave the leftover pods at the condo for the next family, but no way!! I brought them home and then jumped on Amazon to buy more! I have said goodbye to all my other detergents and I don't even need Unstoppables anymore, so while Tide Pods are a little more expensive than my other detergent, since I'm no longer using Unstoppables, it's actually cheaper!! I even recently gave someone a comforter that I had just washed with the pods and they messaged me asking what detergent I used bc it smelled so good!! If you're sensitive to that strong fresh laundered smell, this could be too much, but for those like me who LOVE that smell, this is the detergent for you!!!

Growing up, my mom always used Tide washing powder. With 8 in the family, we had some serious need to come clean! Fast forward and I still use Tide along with other detergents albeit liquid. The pods are super easy to use and work very well. My clothes come out fresh and clean.

These tide pods are very easy to use. I simply place one inside our washing machine, ours has a special place where they go. My clothes came out nice and clean and smelling great! My fiancé works construction and his clothes get very dirty! His clothes even came out of the washer clean. Overall I'm happy with this product!

I don’t typically buy name brand detergent but I do prefer using pods. They make it easier (especially for my teens) and keep things clean and free of drips. I have these a try recently and was pleased with how they worked and the fresh smell the left behind. Not sure if I will get them again because of the price but I would still recommend them.

I recently got these to try and will be the only pods I use from here on out. I love each pod is easy to throw up in. It’s powerful with removing odors and stains and leaves my laundry smelling good. Highly recommend

I am a huge fan of laundry detergent pods due to their ease of use. However I often find myself using multiples to get the right level of clean. I work out often, typically in hot yoga or humid gyms (I live in florida) so I need a little extra care. These pods did the trick and outside of a very large load 1 was enough. They also worked well with my whites, which I never imagined getting clean with cooler water.

I love Tide. It gets my clothes good and clean. The pods are so much nicer than the liquid or powder. You don't need to measure it out. You just grab a pod and throw it in with your clothes and your done. Doesn't take up alot of room to store them. I think it makes your clothes smell nice and clean. Try it for yourself I think you will like it to.

I really like my Tide 3 and 1 pods. These pods work great in cold water making my laundry very clean and smelling great with the original scent. The instructions on the packaging are very clear and easy to understand, one pod for medium load two pods for large and three pods for extra large load. I like that the instructions advising you to use dry hands while handling the product. I will be telling my friends and family about the Tide pods.

I tried the tide PODS laundry detergent original scent and found it worked great on my household laundry on all types of loads. I have been using liquid tide for years but prefer the ease of using the pods.

The pods are obviously very easy to use since you just put them in the washer and don’t have to measure anything out and there is no spillage. They dissolve completely during the washing cycle and do a great job getting rid of small stains that I didn’t even pre-treat. I like that my clothes comes out smelling lightly scented, but not heavily. I’m very pleased with the ease of use, cleaning and fragrance.

I love these tide pods, they are so quick and easy to use. They fully dissolve even on cold settings. They also make it easier for our teenagers to do their own laundry. Just toss in 2 pods for a large load and everything comes out clean and smelling great. And the scent isn't overpowering at all.

I guess I have been living under a rock for quite some time now, and like the caveman I have been measuring out my tide and filling up my laundry with liquid detergent. So much easier to pop one of these bad little daddies in and turn on the wash and walk away. Love these things no turning back now

First off, the packaging is “child-safe”. Heck, I’m an adult and found it tricky at first! No one is going to get poisoned accidentally. Second, the pods were distinct and didn’t stick together. The gummy coating feel sturdy so they won’t leak. Third, not that it matters, but the pods are pretty. Fourth, they dissolve well and make minimal bubbles — perfect for my high efficiency washer. Fifth, they made our laundry smell fantastic, but when wearing my clothes the smell didn’t conflict with my perfume. Finally, my clothes came out really clean, including a stain my husband had on a shirt pocket. We are definitely going to buy more!

I LOVE these laundry pods! They work just as well as the normal liquid detergent, but I never have to worry about measuring the detergent and then dealing with the mess of a drippy cap. It seriously makes doing laundry so easy!

I have always been a fan of Tide. I was late to the game trying Tide Pods. My opinion of Tide has improved, if that is even possible. I bought a Tide package containing 16 Pods. My mission: get my husband's work clothes clean. I placed 2 Pods in our HE washer, because I had a large load of clothes. I set the washer on the cold water setting. I put the package on a high shelf so my Grandkids or pets couldn't reach them. The package was difficult for me to open but I don't take chances. After I washed, then dried my husband's dirty, smelly work clothes I was happy that they were 100% clean. They smelled fresh. I will continue to use Tide Pods because they are convenient and perform to my satisfaction.

I really like the tide pods coldwater clean. I love the fact that I can wash my clothes in cold water and they come out clean. There was not any leftover residue left on my clothes. The smell is amazing. I did have difficulty opening the plastic bag. I recommend the Coldwater clean pods for everybody.

I received a sample package of Three in one color water pods to sample and review, they contain detergent, stain remover and color protection all in one to help maintain the longevity of your clothes. I wear scrubs which are very expensive and I need to keep them looking good and have them be free of stains and this is where Tide Pods come in, they keep my scrubs looking like they were new and at the same time they they the environment, I save money because I only wash them in cold water and it helps to maintain it's new look .

Tide is my favorite brand. Been using both liquids and pods, and yet found pods to be more favorable. They’re easy to use and won’t make a mass. The pods dissolve well and clean well. I just don’t like the scent.

We have a big family and do a LOT of laundry. Im talking…two kids that play football, dad is a mechanic always covered in grease… type of laundry. Being able to just throw the pods in instead of having a bottle of liquid detergent is super convenient. No spills and messes. The laundry always comes out stain free and smelling amazing!

Well I haven’t tried Tide in years until now! It is better now and it’s the pods. Your clothes are very clean, smell is amazing and very easy on your clothes! I love how my clothes smell and feel after using! They are the best ever! I recommend it to everyone.

These are so much better than trying to measure out soap or spilling liquid soap all over the place. The perfect amount each and every time. The cloths come out perfect. I use these all the time now. No more liquid or powder for me.

Used a Tide Pod today for washing a two loads of laundry. Clothes smelled good when I got them out of the washer but not strong at all of a scent when I took them out of the dryer. Clothes got clean and worked well in Cold Water.

So much easier to use then the traditional powder or liquid detergents. No more measuring out your detergents or over using it. Pop one pod in your washing machine and your clothes come out smelling great. They are nice and clean.

I love Tide and all of the products associated with Tide. But the Tide PODS takes the cake. Easy and convenient are the words that I will use. Just with the name Tide we know that the clothes will come out clean. With the PODS washing clothes it now a step faster. Throw in clothes, throw in Tide POD, press start. That is it. So convenient.

I got these for the smell. They smell wonderful and I think they work. I don’t have stains on my pants now. I’m very happy with how my close are. Eliminates smells well. I would definitely recommend this to my friends

We have been longtime powdered detergent users and this was my first time trying a pod. Tide Pods work great! It was so easy to just toss it into my washer (no scooping and breaking up clumps in my powdered detergent). I may never go back! They came in a safety sealed back, which I appreciate, and the scent is very classic Tide. No complaints here!

Growing up Mom always used tide. Now I'm grown up and love my tide pods. Seriously cant get any easier than throwing a pod or two in with the laundry. I always stock up at sale time. My 6th grade was doing a laundry segment at school and had to help a parent with laundry and write a paper. I showed him how and he was shocked that all you need was a pod, lol. Apparently, he got to skip the writing about a pre stain treater, measuring out liquid, which dispenser to add it to ect. Guess I'll have him doing laundry now! My tide has never let me down.

Love these tide pods. They are great to throw into the wash and even can do cold water clean. I like that you can also throw in to travel bag for you washing on the go in the hotel or Airbnb if you are traveling. They are very handy and the smell isn’t overpowering.

Tide is a brand that I have used and trusted for many years! There are so many pros to these little convenient pods. Having 5 kids from toddler to teenager, I definitely need a detergent that is full of strength and stain busting technology. These work just as good using cold water as they would in warm, saving even more money! The new child lock also helps prevents my toddler from having access to the pods. It works hard on stains, but soft on the fabric, and leaves a very nice and clean scent that lasts for days. No worries about measuring any liquids, just toss and go! Love my tide!!!

The smell is amazing. We washed the clothes using cold water (which I prefer). They came out clean and the smell was amazing. We didn't use a fabric softener sheet in the dryer like we normally do, and yet there was absolutely no static when they came out of the dryer. These are going to be saving us some money during these tough financial times. This will be the only product that well need to purchase. Also just using cold water will help bring our electric bill down. These Tide Pods are a Win-Win.

I love tide pods. The original smell just makes me nostalgic. It’s easy no mess to store it and put it in the machine . Although the box for storage is good I keep mine in air right fancy jars. It is easy to carry these to our number ours beach vacations that we take . Cleans the toughest stains that kids get back from their baseball games .cleans well even when we use cold water wash . Love the smell.

Tide is always a great laundry detergent, with a great smell. Now they have taken it a step further and added in stainlifters and fabric softener all in one pod. I noticed not only were my clothes cleaner but stayed fresh longer. My family and I have very sensitive skin and can tolerate this brand.

I truly love this brand and their original scent. Having the laundry pod takes the guesswork out of measuring for each load. I do wish it was a bit cheaper, but other than that I have nothing but love for it. Would definitely recommend

Wow I think I found my forever laundry detergent! In the past I always used generic liquid detergent that left my clothes smelling weird and didn't always feel super clean. I recently started using these Tide Pods with their original scent and I'm now converted for life. These pods are fantastic. I just throw one in with my load of laundry and it goes to work. When I open the washer lid it smells so good. After drying them I bring them upstairs to fold. As I'm folding I can still smell the fresh scent. Tide gets my clothes perfectly clean. I don't have to add any additional cleaners to my washer while using Tide pods. It does all the work by itself. I can pull a shirt out of my dresser drawer a week after being washed and it still smells amazing. I would definitely recommend.

Wow…I can’t believe I haven’t tried these before. I do alot of dirty laundry and these pods certainly do the trick. They are easy to throw into the washing machine especially when my arms are usually full of laundry walking into the laundry room. Although I was leary about the power of cleaning, they did a great job. Although I’ve found a new friend, I will always have a bottle of liquid Tide for my stain treating. It’s all good!!

I've used these pods for a while now and have had no issues until recently. I washed my white comforter and when I took it out of the wash there were blue and green stains like the colors of the pods that weren't there before. I tried rewashing with bleach, detergent, and stain remover with no luck. This has never happened before and I'm honestly very sad my comforter has stains. Might have to switch back to regular detergent.

Ive used multiple other products from this brand but I recently switched from the breeze scented pods to original, but that was a total mistake. After I used these pods with some of my lighter colored clothes turned BLUE. I thought nothing of it until I used the pods again but in an ALL WHITE load and everything came out with a blue shade. I don’t recommend this product unless you want to turn your fabric another color.

I have twice now since switching to pods went to put dress shirt on and the pod has totally stuck the shirt together. The outside has dried on the cuff once and in the inside. Not a good product...

Tide has always been the best detergent out there. It gives my clothes the best clean and keeps colors looking bright. It fights against tough smells like when I was the dogs bedding. I am always amazed at how well everything comes out. AND CAN WE TALK ABOUT THE CONVENIENCE OF PODS?! It makes doing laundry so much easier and avoids messes that happens with liquid detergents.

I can’t tell if these are the HE pods, but we only buy the HE pods. This is otherwise what we get, and they do a good job of cleaning the clothes. Every once in a while, a pod won’t break open all the way, and I will find a partially dissolved pod on clothes. I will have to re-wash some items, which is annoying. However, that might happen once a year—if even that often.
