For years, Tide has been on a journey to deliver a more sustainable product that doesn't compromise on cleaning performance. And now, it's finally here. Tide purclean™ is the first 75% plant-based detergent that cleans just as powerfully as Tide, and is EPA Safer Choice certified**.

*Plant-based means 75% of ingredients are plant-derived and subjected to processing.

The Safer Choice label signifies that the formula for this product, as Tide has represented it to the EPA, contains ingredients with more positive health and environmental characteristics than conventional products. Dosage

Directions:

Measure with cap.

For Medium Loads, fill just below bar 1
For Large Loads, fill just below bar 3
For HE Full Loads, fill to bar 5

Add clothes, pour into dispenser, start washer.

Usage Instructions:

Follow care label instructions, then sort.
Test inside seam for colorfastness.

I love that it's plant based. My family can only use unscented detergent. It really works well with a little boy who stains everything. I wish it came in a big container like regular unscented Tide.

I got this in the unscented version. OMG the amount of suds was outrageous! Never in my life have I seen so many suds from a detergent. I actually had to clean out the middle part of my washer.

A: Tide purclean™ is the first plant-based detergent with the cleaning power of Tide, containing 75% plant-based ingredients. The Tide purclean™ formulation includes plant-based surfactants and solvents. Both formulas are held to the highest standards of safety and efficacy, but Tide purclean™ offers an option for consumers seeking a simple step to integrate renewable plant-based products into their daily routines that meet their cleaning expectations.

Does this really clean as well as Tide? (vs. Tide Original)

A: Yes! When we set out to develop Tide purclean™, our goal was to create a detergent we’d be proud to have in the Tide family.

Does Tide purclean™ clean in cold water?

A: Yes. Our formulators have designed Tide purclean™ to clean even in cold water, helping you to do your part in energy conservation via cold-water washing. Heating wash water is the largest driver of energy consumption when running your washing machine. All the steps your take toward preserving the planet for future generations add up to make a meaningful impact.

Is Tide purclean™ designed for High Efficiency machines and traditional top loading machines?

A: Yes, it provides outstanding cleaning performance in all types of machines.

What is required for a product to qualify for the USDA BioPreferred designation?

A: To achieve the USDA BioPreferred seal, the product must be at least 34% plant-based. Tide Purclean™ is 75% plant-based, certified by the USDA BioPreferred program, meaning the current formulation contains nearly twice the plant-based content required for certification.

Should I use Tide purclean™ for all my loads?
